Big store but mostly a crappy selection compared to others. Can catch a good deal though at times if you are lucky. A much better and larger selection can be had at the Volunteers of America thrift on Cedar St. in Lansing....update: I moved closer to here so have been in multiple times. There are definitely deals to be had on womens clothes if you go often and are lucky for example i fouund a betsey johnson black peacoat and guess leather jacket for 10 bucks each...in nearly new condition. Both looked hardly worn. Can find some good sales...plus nice and trendy shirts for a buck or two...housewares is still crap. Havent found any vintage yet. Shoes are just so so. I think people might try to sell to platos closet first and drop their "cant sell" stuff here. Platos is stupidly picky and sometimes way overpriced. But the prices are VERY good here...obviously other people have never shopped the salvation army stores in some more relatively wealthier areas down in Oakland county where they do price gouge because they know people will pay more. Im now a pretty satisfied thrifter here.

Knowingly sells broken merchandise. I bought a toy for my kids, that was sealed up with tape so that I couldnt check it, and "Sold as-is". Soon as I opened it up when I got home, I saw that the battery compartment was destroyed, one of the globes was cracked, and the bulb that lights it up was broken off. All the broken parts had fallen into the box - which means it got broken AT THE STORE. Which is precisely why they sealed it - and why they sold it as-is. As it stands, the toy is completely worthless and unusable. What a rip-off.

They keep everything clean and organized as best as you can organize used goods. They have clear sections and clothes sections are labeled. They organize mostly by style/color so you so have to look at all sizes. Everyone is friendly ands helpful.

Love the store. Well laid out. You have to go often to find some things but be patient and you can catch a great deal. Wireless keyboard $2. Tervis tumbler $3. Humidifier $7. Clothes as low as 50c. Pull up bar $3. And it helps a great Charity.

Prices vary. Saw a decorated girls cork board for $5. Then found another one, used much more but a bit prettier, for $29. They had a nice selection of clothes. Building was clean and well organized.

Limited selection of clothing and miscellaneous items. Good jewelry selection though. Very friendly staff and okay prices.
