How should I start this...last year, I bought a set of winter tires and have a set of summer tires stored in this location; and this year, I had a horrible experience with this store. ..Let me start with scheduling an appointment: When it was time for my summer tires change, I called the Store number and was waiting for an associate to pick up; meanwhile, there is a record advertisement on the phone saying "now you can schedule an appointment online." Oh, that was convenient, so I hanged up the call and scheduled an appointment online about a week ahead. When I went into the store for my appointment, I waited 40 minutes in line and finally got to speak with the associate. However, I was told that online appointment will not work for summer tires change, it doesnt automatically notify them to ship my summer tires from the warehouse to the store. I was okay with it, and order the summer tires along with a new set of wheels for the summer tires. I explained to the associate that I will use the set of wheels on my summer tires, and the associate was helping me to select the wheels. Everything was set, and I left and wait for their calls. I waited for one week but heard nothing back; so I called the store, and the associate told me that the new set of wheels is already arrived at the store. However, they have to check on my summer tires, and they will give me a call back. I waited for two days, and never got any call from them. So I called the store again, then another associate told me again that they will have to look and find my summer tires and give me a call back later. This time I did receive a call back from them, and I was told that they couldnt find my summer tires...somehow, they are MISSING in the warehouse. They will need to order a set of stock summer tires for my car...also, they told me that the set of wheels that I ordered, will not work on my summer tires because the rear wheels are wider than the front. But I already told them that I am going to use them with my summer tires... 3 Weeks later - I have no summer tires, and the set of wheels that I ordered will not work with the summer tires...and i am still driving my car with the winter tires on. Update: The next day, an associate at Discount Tire called me and let me know that they ordered a new set of the stock tires to compensate my missing tires; so I just need to wait for the new tires to be shipped to the store. However, a day later, I received another call from Discount Tires telling me that my "missing tires" have been found and that I dont have to schedule an appointment; they will change my tires for me anytime when I drop by the store. I went to the store to have my winter tires swapped out. They also took care all the fees for me - including the fee for my winter tires storage. Dan was helping me out the entire time, and he kept me updated with all the progress.

I rarely write reviews however, the guys at Discount Tire in Commerce Twp. on Haggerty Road have more than earned my praise. I manage an Auto Repair Shop in Walled Lake, which is just down Maple (15 mile) Road from THIS DISCOUNT TIRE location. These guys continuously provide great service to myself, my family and all of our Mechanics (we all go to this store) as well as our customers! The Team at THIS STORE takes unbelievable care of our customers!!! My family and extended family of Mechanics and Customers have been doing business with The Team at this store for almost a decade. These guys are honest, fair and like myself- do not recommend products or services to people who will not benefit from them! At my own shop, we pride ourselves on being fair and honest and the Team at THIS DISCOUNT TIRE do the same. The 2013/2014 Winter season has been incredibly rough on Michigan roads and as a consequence, even more damaging on our vehicles. I myself have already had to replace several shredded tires on my personal vehicle this season as I (by choice) have low profile tires on my vehicle. Earlier this week, I found out that I needed a new rim/wheel because it had cracked. When I purchased my vehicle, it came with incredibly expensive, aftermarket, larger rims meaning, the tires on them are very low profile and easy to damage. The rims/wheels that were on my vehicle are no longer made which means that unless I wanted one rim/wheel different from the other 3, I would have to purchase a new set- which I did. The Team at Discount Tire guided me through the process of selecting a new set of rims/wheels for my car that was cost effective, stylish and will complement my existing tires and AWD system on my vehicle. The Manager, Josh, even took the time to hand paint the counterweights that they used to balance my rims/wheels with so, that they would look more uniform. I trust these guys unequivocally and you can too. I recommend THIS STORE to everyone I know!!!

Very disappointed in my go-to tire store where I have bought probably 10 sets of tires. Refused to install snow tires/steel rims that I pulled off last year. My fiancee said he even talked with the manager to be sure. Wanted to sell her $160 worth of TPSM valves for tires already mounted on steel rims and balanced. I called and then went next door to Belle Tire and they installed the tires without any problems and didnt even charge for switching out the All Season set with the Snow since they were already mounted and balanced. Mentioned that DT claims its the law it cant be installed and they just said "they dont know what they are talking about". In my research on the net, seems correct that you cant "disable" the TPMS safety light that indicates there is an issue. But there is no problem installing a tire/wheel set that causes the dashboard light to go on. If I was kind I would say DT was "playing it safe", but more inclined to think they saw an opportunity to sell my fiancee $160 worth of sensors.

Good place of business. Professional. Efficient. Good service. Details below: Jay carried the spare from my car, changed the valve, mounted and balanced the tire, put the tire back in my car. I walked in at 10 on a Friday and pulled out of the parking lot by 10:15. They are a tire shop next door to a competing tire shop. They literally have every incentive to run an honest and efficient business. There is zero shortage of tire problems from Michigan roads, so no reason to upsell. They know what they are doing and price fairly. With all the different tire problems, wheel manufacturers, tire manufacturers, and customer personalities, they still run a business in a spoiled part of town. The bad reviews are largely from those ignorant of business or the DOT, those stupid about rudimentary mechanics, or the self centered who are too special to have to wait for their turn on the hoist.

Would you like to be politely foolish and robed - go there! I have to come back 3 times just by buying 2 tires! Always trying to sell something, but skipping to do required stuff or do it to have you back. Finally, they defined, that a tire been placed on damaged rim - first time they did not tell (or it even was not there?!) After all I was not able to untighтen bolts by standard car equipment: wrench is bended, but not unbolt it! Every time I have had to loose hour and more, despite of prior phone call and setting up an appointment. (But they proud to be nice with you, using you and making you an idiot by their smarty profy jive!!) What I have after spending much time and money: one tire loosing air and car is shacking on 60+ speed! I am not anymore their customer and not recommend anyone to believe them!!!
