I was introduced to August Chinese Supermarket by a friend. Everything about this store is very clean and the layout is intuitive after a couple visits. Its brightly lit and well stocked. The organized and English labeled shelves have an excellent selection of products with really good freshness dates; many premium brands I sought too. The coolers are huge and the produce section has an excellent selection of fresh Asian produce. The staff person that assisted me was kind and knowledgable. I got everything on my list, the prices were very competitive and overall, I had a satisfying shopping experience. No need to travel to Ann Arbor for my Asian culinary needs.

Staff is ALWAYS extremely helpful in meal prep ideas and very sociable when asked for help. They have a cleaner store than ANYTHING else in our around this area. I have actually stopped buying products from other larger stores that are closer just because I enjoy shopping here that much more. Prices are extremely competitive also making my meals and snacks that much less expensive to make. It is also convenient having them open 7 days a week from their scheduled hours making impulse purchases a simple part of life. Check them out, you will not be disappointed.

Its a small store, but they have a lot of items packed into it. Its very clean as well. The owner was extremely helpful when I was looking for specific ingredients for a thai curry I was making he showed me exactly what I needed. If you live in the area and dont have the time or desire to drive to a larger market in Ann Arbor I would definitely recommend giving this place a try.

I FINALLY found the Taro mochi Ive been looking for! All thanks to these wonderful reviews for pointing out a very clean and friendly market. I was a bit intimidated to find a good market because I wanted it to be a very good experience- and thats what this was! They have so much cool stuff Im sure Ill be back within the month.

Helpful staff,,, even if language barrier happens lol they make an effort to understand !! Manger will order items (dragon fruit) lol now when I go oops sold out. Thats great tho because he delivered ,,,, I just need to go more often.... Now Im waiting on restock >>>>>GREENMAX ALMOND POWDER!!! >>>>>LOVE IT !!!!!!!

A smaller Asian (yes, it carries more than just Chinese goods!) market that is hidden and not well known enough! Great prices, nice variety, clean and friendly. I come here often for the selection of Mochi Ice-cream and Furikake rice seasoning. They accept cash and credit, $10 minimum on credit.

This is probably the cleanest and nicest Chinese market in the area. For the size of the store they have a good selection and the staff is always very nice. We mainly go here to pickup vegetables, tofu, and other basics when we dont have time to go to one for the bigger markets.

Tried this store, since its close to my home. Was disappointed with their food selection. Didnt find the soy sauce or noodles I was looking for. Tsai Grocery in Ann Arbor has much better selection and well worth the drive.

This is one of the cleanest Chinese markets in the area. Very organized place, helpful staffs,nice variety, fresh food,reasonably price for what you are getting here. Stop by and you will have a wonderful experience here.

offers a great variety of items and better quality as well. It is one of the best Chinese supermarket I have seen in the Midwest area. Try out the yogurt drink - both adults and kids love this thing!
