The optical department is usually very friendly I have been getting my glasses here for years since the price is great and they have a great selection.But when I went yesterday it was a terrible we were helped by a older man that had thick black rip glasses and greyish hair.I would put his name but he had a blank name tag.I went there to get new frames and lenses I had gotten my eye exam there already.I found the frames that I wanted and I knew I wanted Polycarbonate lenses.I was ready to purchase them when I had a few questions for the man.How long would it take on average to get my glasses in (since I am leaving for Maui in 9 day for a funeral)he said we usually say ten days but it can take 5-10-15 I dont know.Next I ask could they send them to a different Costco the one in Maui.He responded why would you want them sent there.Then before I could answer he said nope we dont send glasses anywhere.I asked would about if I pay extra for a quick turn around or for shipping he said NO I already said we dont do that.Then he said are you sure you can afford the glasses after being completely insulted I asked can I speak to a manager.He replied WHY?I replied can I please speak with a manager he then replied if you can find one then I asked if he could contact one to come to the optical department then he said nope you can go find them.So I then found a manager and asked my same questions and he was more than helpful he said they usually get here with in 7 days.Also they said that if you wanted us to call Hawaii optical to see if they have the frames I wanted and they could send over the prescription so I said that would be great.Then I told them about my complaints about the man at the optical they said I am sorry that happened and that it wont happen again and that he was a part time employee only working here for part time during the holiday season..ALL THE OTHER TIMES I WENT THERE THE OPTICAL DEPARTMENT WAS VERY FRIENDLY USUALLY A YOUNGER WOMAN IS THERE THAT KNOWS A LOT ABOUT THE PRODUCT AND IS VERY HELPFUL WE BELIEVE THIS WAS A RARE THING LIKE THE MANAGER SAID THAT HE IS ONLY HERE PART TIME AROUND THE HOLIDAYS.(WE WILL BE GOING BACK THERE JUST MAKING SURE WE ARENT HELPED BY THAT MAN)

Ive have been an executive member for 6 months now. The biggest problem to me, is the stores customer service. CostCo has a reputation of excellent customer service, but what I experienced at this store is quite different. Being a new member, sometimes I just couldnt find the items I needed and I required some help. Most of the time, I got no more help than a finger pointed in a particular direction. I tried to ask for help from a manager and I didnt have any luck from them either. One time, I made a phone call to ask for some information. The lady helped me with a part of what I needed, but then quickly hung up even before I finished my first thank you leaving me with other questions to ask. I wonder if the upper management cares about their customer service? By comparing my experience at Sams club, I feel a strong sense of regret that I joined CostCos at this time. I just thought I should let you know what my experience has been. From all the positive feedback I received before joining I think my expectations were higher. It might just be this particular store which has there personal problems, but I thought it might be good for you to be aware of it.

Not exceptional service but good prices on the items. I called several time to see if a product was going to be in stock and the employees were way to lazy to look up on the system to see if the item would be in stock in the future. Along with the merchandising manager as well did not want to do a simple look and had to be cohered in to doing so and then lied about as the product was in stock a week later. Being lazy and not wanting to do your job that you are being paid for is a big no no in my book. I still shop here of course because it is Costco, but sometimes as the saying goes if you want something done you have to do it yourself. This is just one time at the store and have many several times have been great, but one time when someone does not want to do their job or is really lazy it does matter. Management does do a good job with some employees, I feel the whole point of shopping at Costco is to get good quality items, exceptional service and great value. These things are met sometimes but not always, you have to know what you are looking for and no that there are other places to shop of course.

Summer is fading fast at Costco and Fall is quickly moving in. With the seasonal section switched from beach and recreational fun to furniture, only a few boxes of beach towels, swimsuits (some reduced to just $10!), coolers and a few warm weather items remain. Meanwhile back to school items are creeping in (reduced $ lunchboxes by the front door)... I thought summer had just officially begun, now its over!?! Gees, consumerism; its MI: "9 months of winter"... come on! To make matters worse, it was cool at the beach. Sorry to say Uppers and Lopers; about time to bundle up and hunker down.

Not a good experience. after being told there would be no problem to return a Samsung tv and driving 100 mi. round trip to the store they would not honor their guarantee because we did not have authorization from their concierge service. The issue has not been resolved after a year of calling Costco Concierge service and Samsung. Now we have to go through the process from the start because Costco will not recognize our prior customer service calls.

Wonderful customer service. The optical and hearing departments are great. The concierge people always help with computer problems via the phone. The cell phone stand employees are always ready to help with questions or problems with my cell. Further, the quality and price of all goods is excellent. I have never had a product from Costco that I did not like. I know they do all they can to assure high quality in all items including food.

Costco is always a great place to shop, great deals, everything tends to be high quality. For some reason the Whitmore Lake store changed their Cheese buyer as all they have now a days are the hard cheeses gone are the triple creams and the more exotic cheeses thats too bad. They also use to carry stuff poblano peppers in the frozen section which are fantastic but I havent seen them around over a year now. Hope all these things come back soon

Excellent service at gas station and parking lot! I almost made to the gas station then my car died. (unexpected car accident on the way home after work....) I came out of the car but didnt know what to do. I told a lady who works at the station my situation, very soon couple young men came over from parking lot and pushed my car to the gas station. They wouldnt even accept tips because its the regulation. What an honest people!!! Thank you!
