After spending hundreds of dollars for the past two years weve been here in MI, this Joannes on Telegraph refused to make 2, 8-inch cuts off a fabric because we didnt buy it from them. We were in a crunch, caused by a last-minute alteration to our daughters dance costume for a performance. The employee was standing there, literally doing nothing. She refused to help us, even though we were the only ones there, and she was clearly not doing anything. Even after offering to pay for her services, she lectured my wife about how she could get fired if she made the cut into a non-Joannes fabric. Unbelieveable. They just lost two generations of customers because of that ridiculous policy.

3.5 Dont always have what we are looking for. Dont always have knowledgeable staff when you need help with items. If you are unfamiliar with the store layout it can be very difficult to find what you are looking for. It would be helpful if they had diagrams of what was in the aisles. A map with general items listed. These could be posted at the ends of NUMEROUS AISLES TO AID THE CUSTOMER IN FINDING WHAT THEY ARE LOOKING FOR and just maybe giving them additional ideas incorporating the items listed in the adjacent aisles. WHO KNOWS, THE CUSTOMER MIGHT BUY MORE THAN THEY INTENDED TO, INSTEAD OF WALKING OUT WITH NOTHING BECAUSE THEY WERE SO FRUSTRATED.

This JoAnn has the WORST service. The employees are not interested in helping. There is always a 7-10 person wait at the cutting counter and at the registers. Also, they are usually out of stock of sale and useful items. I waited in line for 10 minutes and when it came to my turn to check out, the cashier closed her register and ran off, saying I would be helped by the next register. Well, that old hag decided that I was no longer in line and called the next guest. It is unfortunate because there are no other fabric/craft stores in the area and they know they can get away with their horrible service.

I placed two separate orders for the same two boxes of invitations for my parents 50th anniversary party, minutes apart. The two orders were shipped 5 days apart! I received them 10 days apart It took 16 days to get the second order! I emailed customer service. They never acknowledged my email. DO NOT ORDER from this company if you need anything in a timely manner!

Anytime I need something, the staff always has a solution. The only concern is theyre always friendly with their repeat customers, and its hard for them to step away for someone who needs assistance. So I feel terrible for interrupting. But to me that just shows how loved they are in that store.

Sucky staff - the fat lady that saw me walk into an empty store and wouldnt help me out. This place needs better staff- Because of her Im officially boycotting Jo-Anns until I can have proof that their staff is as friendly and helpful as Michaels! Sorry-ass excuse for a store.

Rude, unhelpful, no effort whatsoever to be accommodating, totally uninterested in working with a customer. I understand that there is not a lot of competition in my area, which is why they can get away with it. That comes through loud and clear.

This one is very limited in what they have compared to a regular jo Ann fabrics. Store is cramped and has little selection. Staff is very friendly and helpful go very far to try to help you find what you are looking for.

Not helpful! I actually bought a kitchenette set from them years ago on the impression that I could come back and have them change the fabric of my chairs. Of course they told me I had to to everything myself

Jo-Ann got all sort of art & craft materials one can think of, also some amazing fabrics. They also got stuff for home decor. Look for coupons online and help yourself. Recommended for all age group.

Yeah I bought fabric here to make a cosplay. Helpful staff. Needed help finding a certain fabric, found it. Need help finding zippers, found them. Also dont forget to use your coupons.
