If I could rate negative stars I would! I have been shopping at joannes for years this was my first time at this store and they have Horrible customer service one of the worst Ive ever saw, from employees to management. Had an employee scream at my 9year old daughter twice both times for harmless things when reported to management no apology but was told the employee had bad kids, which DOES NOT in anyway give her rights to scream at other peoples children! Good thing about big cities I have more choices like Michaels and hobby lobby. Because of the staff in this store Joannes just lost a 30 year customer. Never has my daughter been miss treated in a bad way like this by anyone. To the women that had to yell I am tyring to raise a respectful citizen so I used you as an example of how not to act or treat others I Explained your immaturity and your huge lack of respect to my daughter so she understands how cruel people can be and why she dont want to act the way you did. Im sorry you have trouble with your children but not all kids are disrespectful. I hope you can learn something good from this.

I have stopped going to this store because I am tired of having to deal with the women who work there. They have the most miserable attitudes and act like you are bothering them. There is no excuse for the rotten attitudes of these women in this particular store. It is like there is something in the air because they are all miserable like this. With everything the way that it is in this world you shouldnt have to worry about going to a store and having to go through all of the poor attitudes of these women. I wish it could be like it was years ago when everyone was wanting to help each other and not just bark at them.

I was in your store last week and spent 30 minutes picking my fabric, 10 mins. getting it cut and after 10 minutes in line, with 8 people in front of me I left. The manager came to help both cashiers (2) with problems and left, though there were 8 people in front of me, and by the time I left, a good 8-10 behind me. If I had stayed in that line I probably would have to have invested another 25-35 mins. This is not the first time Ive had these ridiculous waits to leave the store, but it is my last.

The Jo-Ann Fabric store in Canton is the worst Jo-Ann I have ever been in. The management is terrible. Assistant Manager Barb has no business in a job dealing with the public - with the people skills of a baboon, I wonder how she has a job at all. And the employees act like customers are an interruption to their day. I have been aggravated for the last time. Even though this store is less than two miles from my house, I will drive to the Novi store.

I called the Canton store and was lucky enough to talk with a woman at the cutting counter by the name of Ann. She checked stock for a fashion suede material that has been discontinued. She not only found the fabric but also found 2 other stores showing it to be in inventory. Ann went well above and beyond helping me and deserves recognition. Kudos JoAnn for finding a customer service gem like Ann.

TERRIBLE FRAMING DEPARTMENT - I had to return 3 times for corrections on my framed artwork - each time they couldnt see the issue and told me "6 employees here looked at and approved the work" before I came to pick it up. Finally had them take it apart and give me back my artwork. . . terrible workmanship!!! Save your time, save your aggravation, save your sanity - GET YOUR ART FRAMED ELSEWHERE!!!!!

I was looking for a sewing machine and after waiting in line for 10 minutes for someone to assist me, I was treated poorly. I was treated like i was incompetent. One of the women at the cutting counter was discussing it with another employee who just had an attitude and mocked what I asked for. She eventually explained the situation of the item being on hold but it could of been handled better.

Long lines are the problem Ive found every time I go there. Who has time to be in line for 15-20 minutes any day during afternoon-evening? I have a very serious back problem & theres no place to sit while in line, so I end up going down the street to another craft store. I love the selection here, but unless this changes I am forced to go elsewhere.

The store has good quality stuff and decent sales. Its the people that work there. It seems like you are bothering them or burdening them w/ questions when you need help. Some people are really rude. Unfortunately this is the closet fabric store near me or I would go else where.

This store is terrible! I avoid it at all costs. They never have enough staff to help, they are rude and SLOW as molasses. They have no idea what customer service is. Dont waste your time (and youll spend a lot of it waiting to be served) or money - go to a different store.

Long lines because there is one person cutting material and one or two on the register. Never go on a Sunday unless you want to make it an all day trip. Try hobby lobby right down the street. The employee are nice but not worth all my time.

Go early for cloth cutting. We like to shop here because not only do they usually have advertised items the cashiers are kind enough to assist with online electronic coupons.
