I was here two weeks ago and just needed a C-clamp. This was around 5:00 on a weekday. After walking into the tool department, I had to detour around a group of 4 employees who were busy chit-chatting and showing each other pics on their cell phones. They didnt even make eye contact and were oblivious to the fact they were blocking the main aisle. After walking around the entire department for over 20 minutes searching for my tool, with nobody else present (I admit, its been over a year since Ive been to Sears for this very reason), I went to the hardware checkout counter to ask where I might find it, and the cashier explained that she worked in mattresses and then initiated a P.A. page for "assistance with tools". I asked why the four people were congregating and doing everything but the job they are paid for, and was told they work in fitness. I asked why they had 4 people in treadmills and zero in tools, and was told, literally, that they only had one tool employee and he was fired for stealing. Sears. One tool employee in the entire store, and he was fired for stealing. But they have four people on staff selling treadmills to a completely empty store. I asked for a manager, but was told he wasnt in. I then called Sears to offer some suggestions on improvement and was told someone would call me back to discuss my concerns. That never happened. Sears obviously doesnt need my business, but the writing has been on the wall for some time. Quite frankly, I think most are stunned its still in business. Well, the "free-ride" for those employees will end soon enough Im sure. Im sure Briarwoods owners (GM Pension Trust & Simon) would love to have a "productive" tenant in that space, and not a free-falling has-been with more employee cars in the parking lot than customers. After waiting in vain for someone to respond to the P.A. page (just to find a simple clamp!), I told the cashier "forget it, Ill go to Home Depot". I was in and out of Home Depot in less than 5 minutes and I will NEVER go back to Sears. After all, Harbor Freight sells the same Chinese tools for half the price. Sears has been alienating their customers one-at-a-time for the past 25 years and very soon, theres going to be nobody left.

I went to the watch services area. Called ahead to see if they can replace the batteries of practically all my watches (~8) including the ones that are for scuba and surfing (expensive, waterproof, pressure tested). They said yes. Now, I cannot even be in a kids pool without ruining my watch. Ive lost two already- the first one because I trusted it was fine to go in the water with my Surfing watch and the second one because I forgot I had it with me (at this point I didnt want to trust them that it was fine and I was right). Worst service.

I will never ever buy a pillow or anything from Sears or this store again, I tried to return 2 pillows that probably have mold stains and funky smell which I bought 34 days ago, this was my first purchase (and the last). Sadly, no one offered any help or refund, I called every number I could get to resolve the issue and they kept repeating the same response Were sorry, we cant return any item after 30 days .... please check the attached image ...

Spent over an hour looking at patio furniture and waiting for sale associate to assist. Took him to the set I wanted, he verified that the on the table was correct and placed the order. When furniture arrived a week later it was not what I ordered! It took 8 phone calls to get to the associate that made the sale. He had a multitude of excuses for error and manager just repeated everything he said. Its no wonder Sears is going out of business!

Terrible, terrible customer service. Ive spent over an hour on the phone on three separate occasions trying to return parts for a washer, several hundred dollars in total. These people are beyond incompetent. Take your money elsewhere, because at this rate Im never getting mine back.

I like that when I google seats hours it says 9am but now Im sitting here in the parking lot at 9:45 and the doors are not open and employees were looking at me and wouldnt unlock the door. Thanks Sears for making it easy to not accept my cash or my business anymore.

Doesnt answer phone calls. Called 5 time and no one answered at 5 different times of the day. Had my phone stolen out of my purse and they wouldnt check security cameras. Friend went back next day and told me someone else was inquiring about a missing cell phone.

Had 3 employees look right at me and not say a word. And apparently they only sell cameras online now. Took away all camera and game displays. Kind of stupid. Guess I will take my business someplace else.
