After recently moving to Ann Arbor, I have been on the hunt for fun thrift stores. I tried a few in the area, only to notice that they were quite pricey and had a small inventory. I found this store and stopped in at 11am on Saturday. I found quite a few nice sweaters for my boyfriend and was amazed on the selection. Their prices were (for the most part) pretty darn reasonable as well. Here are a few tips before you go: (1) Be prepared to be amongst a lot of people in a small area (2) Plan your time accordingly - if you want to have time to see all 3 levels, you will need at least 2 hours. I only had time to look at the first floor in the hour that I was there. Overall, their prices were hands down the cheapest in A2 and they had the most selection. The only suggestion for Kiwanis would be to be open longer -- maybe 8am-2pm?

Great bargain finds, a destination and meeting place for value-minded locals and students alike only open Saturday morning. Sadly in Spring of 2017 announcements posted in the building list this location for sale or lease, and highest-value donated items are cherry-picked for sale online. In the past you could find the occasional Leica or Nikon but currently they arent seen on the shelves. Crafts, toys, tools, clothes, books, housewares and more are well-stocked and inventory changes constantly. Kiwanis apparently is underfunded for their purchase of the newer modern barn-sized warehouse location on Jackson Rd where furniture and large items are currently sold, and may move the current bustling city operation to this remote space accessible only by car. Hope it stays downtown, its a true gem that keeps Ann Arbor unique.

Awesome thrift shop! Ann Arbor is reasonably well to do. As a result, thrift shops like the Kiwanis can have some really nice thing. And here you can find just about anything. Clothes, office items, computers, stereos, books, kitchen ware, sporting goods, furniture, furnishings, household items, decorations, Halloween supplies, you name it. Prices are well marked and quite fair. I dont live in town but make it a point to stop by every time Im in the area.

A fantastic used items store in downtown Ann Arbor. You can find just about anything here, but some categories in which they carry a wide selection are kitchen equipment, books, tools, toys, and old electronics (I get pretty nostalgic there). With three floors, you will find all kinds of stuff, so give yourself plenty of time to look around.

This thrift store has some really wide variety of things that are priced just right. It is a non profit & all the profit goes to developing childrens programs in Ann Arbor. Most of the people there are volunteers. The oy down side is that they open 9 am to noon on Saturdays :O

What a fun time this can be. Only open like once a week and for a very limited time. Its like bargain hunting against the clock. Can be fun especially if you are looking for certain things. Ready, set, go see if you can find everything you need before they close!

Plenty of stuff. Very good prices but most of the stuff was waaayyyy outdated. Decent place to shop if you have enough time to truly dig and find what you want.

My favorite thrift store in the Ann Arbor area. They have more variety than the other thrift shops around. Make sure to check the art on the bottom floor.
