Muy amable personal, pero no tienen variedad para personas con dieta, ni gluten free sección, ni libre de azucar. Very friendly staff, but they do not have variety for people with diet, gluten free section, or sugar free. But I went recently and one of the cashiers was rude. He interrupted my cashier while he charged me and made her nervous and me. I wanted to see that they were charging without my authorization and this was annoying screaming me. The manager saw how it treated me and I ignore it. I called him and the inept did nothing. I asked to speak to the general manager and this quickly rang me and it looked like he was going to research and talk to the cashier. He was very courteous and understood but was defended again by the employee saying that she "HAD HIGH ENERGY" and in my opinion I do not agree because this has a problem of attitude and rude. I recommend it if it is going to be your purchases watch what you are being charged and see the customer service is top notch and if you do not treat it well buy at american food basket. Although the general manager is willing to listen .. he speaks English only which is counterproductive. Although if he was very kind and able to put yourself in the customers place and solve or dismiss those employees that abuse their customers.

I have been going there for decades. Great customer service, selection of a wide variety of products from around the world, everyday staples and pleasant new store. The manager always picks my breadfruits for me and they are always sweet. Tropical Foods connects me to my Jamaican culture and opens up a wide range of cuisines with products from Peru like aji peppers, Shitor Sauce from West Africa, Suya Seasoning from Nigeria etc. All of which allow me to be creative in the kitchen and shop in one place. They also support the community which is what local businesses do and impact where their supporters reside. I appreciate that.

I asked one of the managers if he could help me find a certain food product I needed at the time he responded that they didnt sell it there but if we showed him what the product was and what it was called he could put in an order for it and that if ever there was anything in the store that I needed and they didnt sell it i could speak to him and he could put in an order for the item the very next week we came the product was being sold there that was a super plus

I was looking to buy Pan Sobao and was kinda looking around and the guy from the bakery asked if I needed any help. I asked for the bread and he stopped what he was doing and walked me all the way to where it was and even told me the ones that were fresher. I was so surprised that he went above and beyond just for a loaf of bread. He was very happy to do it. It wasnt like "here you moron, heres your PAN". Also the cashier was very friendly.

The new look is great but Tropical Foods is overpriced. Its horrible that they are serving the low income areas and charging customers 2x the amount that stop and shop charges. At least when you go to stop and shop the food is fresh. Im really disappointed that the overpricing is allowed. Contact your Attorney General Maura Healey if your as disappointed as I am.

Good place to go for things that typical supermarkets may not sell. Caters to the carribean community with the food selection, however has other items that someone not familiar with the carribean will be interested in. Prices are reasonable for the most part, but as with any other supermarket, may be a little high for some items.

Its a big supermarket that nobody knows, and its the cheapest. You get everything for half the price of whole foods. Sometimes the vegetables and meat dont look very pretty but its usually fine. There are some specific things that you cant find, but it compensates with all the obscure products you can find. They have great music.

The selection of groceries were very good. I went in just to look and ended finding things I havent seen in ages. Prices are back and forth, some of its cheaper here, some. Of it is cheaper somewhere else... But finding specific hard to find items under one roof makes it worth it. Place looked great and clean.

This place is great for foreign Foods, although I think the foods are too expensive and weight scales at the registers are purposely of. I weighed my okra and it came out under 1lbs but was charged more at the register and when confronted all of a sudden people cant speak proper english.

Such a great selection of food that you really cant find elsewhere. If you are looking to cook a great meal from your home country I recommend trying this place out. Most food is from Central America and other Latino countries, but there are other cultures represented.

Es el más cercano a donde yo vivo, ya que por mi condición de salud, se me hace difícil llegar a otros lugares.

The largest market for Caribbean and Latin American foods. The new building theyve move to is big and spacious. They even included a pretty expansive beer selection. The prices seem a tad more pricey than before, but it is still a great place to shop.

Cant say enough good things about the place. Not only is it the place to go for authentic ethnic ingredients but also at reasonable prices. The staff was helpful and knowledgeable on the products which made my experience even more satisfying.

Great, small supermarket with house-made foods from the deli - Jamaican meat patties, empanadillas, baked goods, as well as standard grocery store merchandise not typically found at smaller, ethnic - oriented Grocers.

Reasonable prices (particularly for fruit and vegetables) for a supermarket thats within the Boston area. Good variety of products, and one of the few places Ive found that constantly stocks and sells corn tortillas.

Good selection but the quality of produce both vegetables and fruits was below average. Checkout service is really fast and the store is a good size to get done quickly. I wish the quality of produce was better.

Good grocery store, dont go if your looking for a restaurant. They sell some unique stuff there, but if youre looking to eat while your there, there is nowhere to sit. Otherwise, take a look at what theyve got.

I dislike the animals being killed and abused to provide food for indolent humans. The market is cool, they play reggae. It makes me feel good to be here. The ambiance is very hip yet the meat is unacceptable.
