I purchased a roll-aboard suitcase on 05/16/2017 from TJ Maxx for a business trip. When I picked up the luggage at baggage claim, two zippers had broken off (the tabs). Thankfully I could still close the suitcase I attempted to return the suitcase to the Northborough TJ Maxx on 05/27/2017, and the cashier called the manager who said (and I quote) "I cant resell this, its damaged." Of course its damaged, thats why Im returning it! He said I needed to go through the manufacturers warranty, which was one of those punitive warranties where it would cost less to simply buy a new suitcase ($25 fee plus shipping to manufacturer). I dont return items all that often, but was flabbergasted they turned me away for an item purchased eleven days prior, when I have the receipt in hand.
