The staff will steer you in the right direction even if it means losing a sale . They have your pets best interest in mind and not just making a dollar. I hope they are able to stick around because usually this economy punishes honest folks like this. So please go there if you need something help keep them in business. I would hate to see them go under especially because they are so honest Walmart flea powders are dangerous JUNK they kill your cat not the fleas I put a flea directly in a sealed container of their flea powder .the flea lived for 3 days & I think it only died due to suffocation & not the powder. Most if not all of Walmarts flea stuff does not work they will harm you cat or dog so do not use them. The wife and I even tried the Advantix clone products they sell . You apply it the same way as Advantix or Front-line Except this stuff never worked 2 weeks later still had a ton of fleas We tried their cheap foggers " Walmarts that is" & nothing fleas were all over my white socks 10 second in the door . However the fogger did make me gasp for air then puke 5 hours after we used it I couldnt believe how bad it affected me. P.S. To. Carley Nickerson, why is it, every review you have written all have 1 star & all involve something about your kids Has it ever crossed your mind perhaps the problem could be your kids or even you yourself?? I bet that thought hasnt even entered your mind huh? After all Carley Nickerson, you did say one store even told you to "grab your kids & things and do not ever come back" Your own words!!! To be honest Carley Nickerson I think you are a thief and perhaps Family Pet was onto you,. Ive been to family pet on many occasions & they have always been very professional and courteous to my wife and myself Just my 2¢

i hate that i even have to give them 1 star. i used to go to this store all the time, we vacation a few miles away and every time we are around there i always go in and spend atleast $50. i love supporting local stores, and family owned stores. i love seeing them thrive and do well. however, after going in to "family" pet store yesterday, i will never go again and i will be sure to tell anyone else to never go there again. especially all the people in my family that go there with me because we are all animal loves and get our things we need there while on vacation. i visited yesterday and i was appalled at how i was treated by the staff that was there. 2 young girls and an older woman, first when i went in i had my 2 sons with me, they are 4 and 5 and well behaved. the girl asked me to keep them both within arms reach, which they already were. then the older woman followed us around the store watching to make sure i kept them close to me. as did the younger girl there as well. also, as you walk around the store you will notice about 15 signs talking about stealing, shoplifting and prosecuting. seriously? in their over priced pet store? this place is such a dump. and the people working their really need a life. i hope no one shops there again and i would love to see them out of business soon! they treat everyone like a robber. sickening

To begin, I didnt see a single sign regarding prosecution for stealing, so either they removed them or a previous reviewer lied. Okay, so Family Pet & Supply is far from your one stop pet shop, but they do a good job working with what they have. I noticed an awful lot of pet cages set up with no actual pets for sale. Perhaps theyve had good sales recently. The place itself is a tad bit disarray but far from "a dump." The aisles are easy to walk down and for the most part seem pretty organized. The fish area was cool, plenty of salt water fishies for sale. The prices were moderate, not high. The three employees who worked there all seemed just friendly enough to where you dont feel smothered but you know you can get friendly advice at any time.

I love Family Pet, I go there at least once a week to get supplies for my 3 dogs. The staff is friendly & very helpful. I am writing this review because I went their google plus page looking for their hours and saw the horrible 1 star review from another customer. I cant believe that the staff at family pet would try to make anyone feel uncomfortable. Sometimes vacation families with kids amped up on ice cream go in there and stick their fingers into the ferret cages. Maybe the owner was just trying to make sure no animals were harassed and no kid fingers were nibbled. Nothing but positive from this reviewer, though :)

Weve been going there for a couple years now and the staff is ALWAYS helpful and friendly. I actually went there to get dog food a few weeks ago,not realizing they were about to close, I pulled in and saw that they were just about to lock up and they opened the door and asked me if I was there to get dog food, which I was and they let me in to purchase it, which they didnt have to do. So in my eyes they went above and beyond when they didnt have to ans with that they have a customer for life.

The past few times I have bought fish from here, they died in 1-2 days and left this white fungus on the bottom of the tank. When I bought things from Petco, this never happened. When I went in to buy fish food I wanted a new fish but dead fish were all over the tanks. One tank had about 20 floating at the top. When i had complained about the fish dying the workers were nothing but rude to me. Defiantly not buying from here again.

I love family pet and encourage anyone other than, Carley Nickerson, to shop there! We have 6 chickens, multiple rabbits, numerous salt water tanks, etc.. and they always are helpful and friendly! PS, If you werent stealing why do you care about the signage for prosecution.
