Well, I just moved to the area and my hometown had a PETsMART so this is my go-to store. Every time I go, I just seem to leave disappointed. There are very few associates that stand out to me, and in my hometown customer service was key, so this is what I find bothersome. I have a fish tank, I got it right before I moved here, so I dont have too much knowledge about them. I went in for help, and theres only one person that works there that says anything other than I dont know, we can read that tag. I can read the tag, and I have a smartphone, I dont want to come in and have somebody read to me, I can read online. I want personal experiences, and honest recommendations. Not if it dies you can bring it back. I dont want it to die!!! I love animals, teach me the right way! I want to give it a great home. With that being said these two stars are salvaging this review because of Kevin. Hes friendly and no matter what I spew at him, he knows. He helped me solve my green water algae, and even taught me about fish antibiotics such as tetracycline! These were lifesavers when my fish got sick! So thank you, Kevin. If I could rate Kevin, and PETsMART separately, Id give him 5 stars! Either make him train your staff or clone him! My dwarf agasizzis thank you!!!

I applied about two weeks ago, and have called three times just to follow up and have received nothing bud terribly rude answers. The first time, was a Saturday and the woman who answered said "todays not a good day. Call back Monday. Bye" and then hung up. The second time was a Monday, and when they answered the man said, "the hiring manager isnt in yet. Call back later" and then just hung up. Now, I just called for the third time, and someone answered and seemed clueless, handed the phone to someone else who was rude and said, "ya Im not the hiring manager but Ill leave a message. Bye" and then hung up the phone. Im extremely fed up with the service, which is crazy because I am an avid customer of theirs since I was probably 12 years old and got my first gerbil as a pet from there. I now have a puppy whom I bring there all the time and go to it supplies for her, starting to think I should definitely take my business elsewhere! Very sad though, love petsmart! :(

Since Mum last review was deleted Ill post this AGAIN! The employee of this store clearly do not know how to feed juvenile Bearded Dragon pellet food properly. Time and time again I come to this location to get food for my own bearded dragons and stop to see the ones here. Their bowls are always full of dried pellets! I have the same food (only used in emergencys as there is not a lot of nutritional value in it) and it clearly says to MOISTEN PELLETS WITH WATER BEFORE FEEDING! Every time I see this I bring this to an associate attention and get attitude like Im the one that is wrong! Please!! Educate yourselves and employees on how to properly care for ALL your animals. You would give a dog or cat with no teeth dry food would you? Absolutely not! So why torture your reptiles and starve them by putting food that is to hard for them to eat in their enclosures? I get sick to my stomach every time I am in this location and see this! Please Fix this!

My dog is wonderful but hates to be groomed and can be extremely difficult. Ive taken him to other groomers who either found him too difficult, (not blaming them!), or were not nice to him--in which case I do blame them because they should know better. At PetSmart I was able to watch from a vantage point where neither my dog nor the groomer could see me. I believer her name was Destiny and she did a fantastic job with my dog. I watched her face as my dog snarled and carried on and she remained calm with not the slightest indication that she was bothered by my dogs behavior--which in his defense would instantly turn to a dog smile when she wasnt doing something he particularly disliked. Did I mention that my dog is wonderful? He is, he just doesnt like certain grooming! Dogs arent perfect anymore than people are but I do have to say that Destiny did a perfect job with my dog and I really , really appreciated it. .

I have had my ups and downs with PetSmart in Biddeford, but over all, I love them. Where their people lack knowledge, my husband usually picks up knowledge. So, its a win win! Advice I have learned: DO NOT house 6 hamsters together, even with a crap load of space, and even if the staff says they should be fine together... because they will not be fine. They will start killing off each other. We went from 6 down to 2 in 2 months. We thought they were just getting old... Until I caught the last two viciously fighting. We separated them and now they are happy happy for 3 years now! We get our hamsters, fish and specialty pet supplies here. I wish they had a BIGGER selection of salt water supplies!! Driving to Portland for fish supplies, sucks! A+ service for me.

Called yesterday to make a grooming appt for my dog who has been there many times with varying levels of satisfaction. Learned that her rabies had expired the day before! Made the appt with Pet Smart, called the vet to update the rabies vaccination...everything is all set! Young girl called today for reminder of appt and was informed that they couldnt work on the dog until she had 48 hours of the vaccination. I completely understand whatever policy there is, BUT come on people....get it together and consistently say the policy!!

Im a trained and educated wildlife conservationist and dog trainer. Your presumable manager attempted to give us loads of bad advice for a dog with a health condition. He didnt know what he was talking about and kept trying to sell a product we clearly didnt want. Even after telling him nicely we didnt need help he still insisted on harassing us. He just wouldnt leave us to shop in peace. Overall horribly weird and disheartening experience. Ill never recommend.

I have found that this store is always clean and the staff is always extremely helpful. I am actually shocked at the reviews other people have written about this store. I have never had an issue with their grooming services. My dog is a rescue and has separation anxiety issues and they took amazing care of her during her grooming.
