Im sad to rate this store so low but Ive been a customer for years and have watched the staff get more and more uppity and rude. Not a problem if I go by myself I usually know what I want. But, recently I went in with my little daughter (I wouldnt do this normally but I needed something!) and they were not at all tolerant of her 3 year oldness. She was being more rambunctious than usual granted, but there was nothing broken or harmed. We were shown intolerance and even open impatience when I asked for help finding what I needed in the interest of getting in and out quickly. Obviously the women there did not have kids but I expected more, I dont know, kindness maybe... Not only that but they overcharged me by $30 and I did not notice until after putting my daughter in the car. So of course I had to drag her and myself (the last thing I wanted was to go back in there) through the rain, back into the store to get the charge reversed. Only to be sneered at and have my receipt dropped on the counter with an unfelt "sorry" after the refund was processed. I have spent literally thousands of dollars at this store over the past ten years and now I will never go back. They have nothing I cant get cheaper online without being subjected to their mean attitude and the sour feeling I have had in my gut ever since Tuesday. I hope someone who works there reads this; Your store will go out of business if you treat customers this way.

Cambridge Naturals is a feast for the eyes for anyone, and a haven for those looking for natural body care, health supplements, yoga, healthy living products or snacks that are great for you. Its hard to not buy everything in the store! They use standard retail pricing, but some may not be used to the high quality products that they sell and the naturally steep prices they carry. Also, keep in mind that they are a local independent store and they cant afford to give you the rock-bottom prices of a big chain store. Definitely worth it, since your money stays in the community and your karma is happy and good. I would give them 10 stars if I could because not only are their products great, but their customer service is excellent! The employees are friendly and knowledgeable and will help you find whatever you need as long as your request is reasonable. They also do a fair amount of special order services, so if you want something they dont carry they may be able to order it for you!

I agree with the previous reviewer about the apparent culture of rudeness in this establishment. I go to CN for the occasional health product and have encountered cold, haughty treatment at the register more times than chance would allow--as if my meager purchase did not warrant a simple "thank you". One associate never even said a word to me as she chatted away on her cell phone only to indicate with a disdainful finger where I should slide my credit card. Im glad to see that this treatment is not just reserved for me. I was getting paranoid every time I went in there.

Everything up to check out was uneventful and pleasant. During check out casheirs werer chit chating and goofing off which allowed for a very impatient person who appeared to be running a con to be serviced before me who had also cut the line. Suffice to say that person did not buy anthing. If i really didnt need my items i would of left them. I am sure that guy stole something. Oops girls.

I hate to down rate a local business, but not dog friendly for no apparent reason, and the owners were weird about it when I asked them. Porter Square Books next door and Tags Hardware next to that are dog friendly, so this is unfortunate. Would rather shop somewhere I can bring my buddy along on our daily walks. Sorry!

Bulk herbs are the best-kept secret around. Pay pennies for herbs and spices that would cost many dollars in the supermarket. You can also save 20% by pre-ordering tea and herbs by the pound, a fantastic deal.
