The store is woefully understaffed, and it seems I always wait a good while for checkout. There is self checkout, but the line is even longer than traditional service. Nonetheless, I find the overall shopping experience to be just fine and I dont drive all over Boston to find a more pleasant check out. This is a full grocery store and I almost always find the stuff I am looking for. If i cant find something I usually need to visit an Asian/Latin or other more specialized grocery store. The store is about halfway between Coolidge corner and Brookline Village. There is a nice large parking lot.

Terrible "florist" attitude from a certain Priscilla/Phyllis who had demonstrated a customer-relations terrible manners and scowled at my taking a picture of a certain flower that I have never noticed before. When asked of her name and being told that I didnt appreciate her attitude, she screamed: "why are you being so mean to me?" At that point, I just realized there was no point dealing with this employee. However, I will not generalize that the people who work there are unpleasant, but a good majority are... Thank goodness for Shaws and Trader Joes but its not even fair to compare.

I was visiting the area and went to several neighborhood grocers and this was a positive experience. They have a good selection of stuff, including lots of fresh vegetables and unusual foods (like celery root and fennel). The meats I bought were good quality, althoough I thought their beef prices were a bit high. The do have that "savings" card program where you have to have a card to get the best prices but if you dont have one, the cashier can use a "guest" card (but you have to ask.) They also have self service check-out. Nice place, clean, well laid-out.

Horrible selection of products...never the same...good luck finding Organic Options...always seems like a Hurricane is about to hit with shelves of products missing. I left my backpack at the store with products in it, still unpaid for because of card error...went back 2 days later...Everything was gone...including $40 hiking backpack & products bought at Walgreens. I was given a gift card for $50 from one of the managers that spoke badly about his co workers.

An ugly, dinosaur looking Stop & Shop with minimal touchups by the company and a ghastly parking garage that blocks the whole building. Marred by being a tad dingy and cramped inside, its as if youre walking into a dungeon. Like many Stop & Shops, shoppers look unhappy buying here as if shopping at this chain was a chore. Not as bad as the impostor Whole Foods in Allston. Go to Trader Joes or Star Market on Beacon St.

This has most needs for the neighborhood, and is my preferred store over Trader Joes by far! Its small though so it lacks variety, leaving me driving to the larger one in Brighton frequently, not really their fault but it is the reason i didnt rate them as highly. If youre not picky, or need specialty items for special diets then youre probably fine. Their kosher section is excellent!

Its got what we need for food at pretty good prices, but its no frills for sure. They dont sell alcohol. The cashier woman who works in the evenings is really sweet. She helped me pick out pasta sauce and gives me coupons that I dont know about, which is awesome. They have a nearby gas station with a good discount if you use the Stop and Shop card.

The people were so helpful, I was visiting from the midwest and the manager helped me scan all of my stuff in the "self check out" line, bagged everything and offered to get me a taxi or at least borrow a cart to get to the edge of their property since he knew I had to walk a half mile with the groceries. Very friendly!!!

This is a great super market. They just got renovated and things are a lot better. Ive been going there for years, and its the first Stop and Shop ever built. They have wonderful management and that Ms. Johnson is excellent! Yes they could be better, but theyve improved outstandingly.

Very friendly stuff and good prices. They also have the gas reward if you have the card from them. Easy to park and normally you dont wait forever to pay for you groceries. I like the deli department, and this guy Frank, is always in a good mood preparing your request.

The location is convenient, theres ample parking in their dedicated store parking lot. The stores normally busy and only a few check out lanes are open causing longer waits for checking out.

I try to avoid this place though I must admit customer service ha gotten better in the past year. Avoid the mess that is the deli counter and be ready to absorb the S&S prices.

I go to this one alot because its close to me, it always has parking, its not too big, and I know where everything is, and the people that work are always helpful and friendly

Very clean, well stocked with average produce. The staff are available and helpful. One of the better Stop and Shop experiences I have had, probably due to its location.

Normaler Supermarkt - hat alles was man so braucht. Nicht zu groß.

They had what I needed, but I thought that the aisles were a little cramped. Between that and the poor lighting I wouldnt want to do my regular shopping there.

Terrible parking. Not inspiring. With a TJs, whole foods and star market already in Brookline, it is a wonder how this stale operation remains in business.

Offers regular brands unlike the closely suited Trader Joes, however Stop and Shop usually does not keep a full stock and is often dirty and in disarray.

Much smaller than the one in Allston. You might not find the same variety as you find in their larger stores, understandably due to space constraints.

Big for a city supermarket. Much bigger than the Star Market in Beacon and Tappan. Has everything you need, but a bit thin on the selection therein.

City grocer that is a little smaller than you would expect from the suburbs, naturally, but has everything that you need and extremely well stocked.

Stop & Shop is a decent supermarket chain. This one has a small selection of organic items. Its just a smaller, functional store for the area.

Small supermarket as these things go, but its always open during its assigned hours. Even during the worst weather like the winter of 2015.

Kind of small and definitely showing its age. But its more affordable than the more trendy options like Trader Joes and Whole Foods.

Small stop and shop but it had what I needed and was laid out well enough that I was in and out in less than 10 minutes

Great price. You can find anything your looking for. Not big on organic stuff but great for the average product.

Solid basic grocery story. Has better produce than other local small markets without the prices of Whole Foods.

Good produce, grocery, and bakery selection, sparse in meat and fish. Checking out is speedy and ample parking

We shop here often. Decent produce, deli section, also has most daily necessities. Parking is rarely a problem.
