Want great furniture and stellar customer service? Then do NOT shop at Roche Bobois in Boston. We placed an order to furnish our entire condo. Among the problems we encountered were delivery that was much later than quoted, office furniture that wasnt as described by the salesman (so didnt fit together in the intended scheme), not enough hardware to put together a large wall unit, wrong finish on the legs of a sleeper sofa, a rug that wasnt finished properly, a chair that collapsed after a year, and a china cabinet that was damaged during delivery. This last problem took 14 months to resolve! And the response from the store managers, customer service agent and owner? Too often excuses, silences and, finally, the suggestion that we were just too fussy. True - I expect a cabinet that cost over $5,000 to be perfect.

Amazing. The most beautiful examples of an eclectic range of furniture I have ever seen. I would have happily bought 90% of the pieces in there. The staff were welcoming and extremely helpful. I spent a whole hour in the store just browsing. Walked away having fallen in love with a living room lamp and an incredible rotating coffee table. Yes -- the furniture is expensive, but design at its zenith is worth every dollar. And honestly, the floor sample pricing makes most everything in there a really great deal. Go with an open mind and remember... quality remains long after the price has been forgotten. You only have to buy it once!

This shop is SO tempting! I just want to buy every single thing each time I go there… But well, the prices keep me from it ;) For my 30th birthday, which was not long after I moved into my new apartment, my parents offered me a beautiful bookcase!! I don’t know exactly how the sale happened, for it was a surprise, but my parents seemed satisfied with everything… What I do know is that I have an amazing piece of furniture now in my living room, it fits perfectly well and I haven’t had any bad surprise with it!
