I like that some of their stuff is American-made, but most of it isnt. That is disappointing and there is no excuse for offering or buying, for that matter, products made in China. You remember, the government with the tanks who flattened out their protesting young people on Tianamen Square not 30 years ago and who thwart free-speech and democracy at every turn and whose officials get fatter and richer and send their fat obnoxious spoiled kids to the West while the people of China suffer? You know them right? The suckiest capitalists since capitalism began? OK. Just to get that straight. There are some things I buy here. They have nice Made in USA Steele industrial canvas bins and glassware and Christmas ornaments that are made in Europe and the US. I buy that. We bought a sofa here because it was gorgeous and made in North Carolina. Their kitchen stuff is just meh. I am a professional chef. You are better off going the Eastern Bakers Supply for real restaurant-quality, NSF-certified cookware or to Williams-Sonoma if you are into nice lighting and ambience and can afford to pay for it. But made in China at those prices? No way. Try Room and Board (99% made in USA) for your furniture and decorative accessories instead and read my review about them.

Had an awful experience at the Boylston store the manager was beyond rude to me and even my friend was shocked at how we were treated. You can buy the brand name items at other stores/online for lower prices and if they cant make up for that with good customer service then what do they have to offer ? I would go to any other location for this brand if I had to shop there again but why bother ? Williams Sonoma in Copley Plaza is smaller but the people are nicer and they have a lot of the same things.

We registered here for our wedding because the quality of the products they carry is unparalleled, regardless of where among the many places of the world they import them from. Everything weve gotten from there has held up over the years, and we continue to go there and find cool little items which make our home even more "ours". Its a great place to shop if youre nearby, we often stop in just to see what they have which is new.

This location is very easy to get to using public transportation (short walk from the Green line), and has a good selection or Crate and Barrels offerings. Lots of kitchen tools and utensils on the first floor, dinnerware, wine glasses, and some dining furniture on the second floor, and a really nice selection of other home furniture on the third. Ive been here twice for store pickup, and the staff is courteous and helpful!

The Boylston St. Crate and Barrel store is big, well stocked, well organized and has a very convenient location - right in the middle between Hynes Convention Center and Copley T stops. The staff is usually very pleasant and ready to help. I always pop in when in the area and inadvertently I end up buying something.

Friendly knowledgeable staff, almost everything I was looking for was in stock- specifically kitchen and dining table pieces. Theres a laneway at the rear of the store for picking up larger items or if you have multiple bags and again staff will help you with getting all your shopping into your car.
