The lady working upsold me in a second by saying that my t-shirt reminded her of a bottle label. Done. Mostly wine, but they do have some beer in the back left corner. The people working seem to know their stuff (I saw her help other people while I looked around). I want to give it 4 stars at it all seemed a bit much for a liquor store (that IS what it is), but it does focus on wine AND it is in the south end, so it is what it is and its beautiful inside. They have wine tastings which I got a list of and have been meaning to go back for but something always comes up!

This has got to be the best wine shop in Boston. They pay attention, seek out your palette, and find you great wines without trying to sell you the most expensive wine in the shop. They turned me on to a Cotes du Rhone that was inexpensive, yet they have superior Burgundies for ten times the price of that bottle. I have often given their BRIX Six as a business gift. Everyone has loved this and many have gone out and bought BRIX Sixes for their clients. Im hoping that someone will buy a BRIX Six for me.

I went in this morning 6/5/10 and was very impressed with the selections. They have everything you are looking for and more. I noticed most bottles start around $40 or $44 and can go up to $180. The man helping me, did not get his name, knew what he was talking about. I told him I needed something in comparission to a Barolo and he steered me in the right direction. I would go back in a heartbeat.

Great wine selection and helpful staff. I attended a small wine tasting here which felt a bit rushed and impersonal. Im guessing this was because the lead wasnt getting paid extra for this or something. Overall nice location in the south end.

Great selection of wine and hard alcohol. The two guys working there were very informative, although one was much friendlier than the other. The prices seemed high, but everything was great quality, so it made sense.

Helpful customer service. Got a couple of great wines. Surprised to find options under $20. The guy in line in front of me spent $250 on two bottles. So dont expect three-buck chuck here.
