I like the chain very much, I like the location of the new store. My first visit was pleasant except I purchased a 6 piece Kika Crab Roll that was simply awful. I have eaten Sushi all over the world, and none have been as unpleasant as the Crab Roll purchased at the Riverdale Whole Foods. I telephoned the store the same evening and spoke with someone in authority (I was told). I explained that I am a big fan of Whole Foods with a long history, and I was extremely disappointed. I was told that the Sushi Stand isnt a part of Whole Foods? but a separate entity, a vendor who leases the space, so ...I guess I had better check to see what other sections^departments within Whole Foods arent theirs or stick to my store in Annapolis, Md.

I like the store. I have had to go to the Silver Spring store for years. It is not perfect and I understand that this store hasnt been open for a month. For those looking for the store to be as good as stores that have been open for years, give it a chance. If you dont see something you like at other stores, tell them. Dont run to your favorite store. Your favorite store got that way because people gave suggestions and the store was able to accommodate them over time. But if you dont say anything, how can they improve? Im sure a few years from now, the store will have grown into itself and be the favorite of a lot of people. The manager has worked at other stores and knows how to accommodate suggestions and requests.

I was so excited that this place was opening since its 5 minutes from my house. I normally love the WF coffee bars, but this store has replaced baristas with machines that make a very limited number of drinks, completely uncustomizable. I didnt want to give up after my first visit so gave it a few more chances. However, in the future I will be visiting the Starbucks next door for my coffee and breakfast. The mocha is disgustingly sweet. The latte is okay. I prefer soy milk, and I had to make the drink 5 times before the machine gave me what I ordered. It is a poorly functioning badly designed system. The acai bowl station was also either out of order or out of product both days I visited.

New and clean! Great selection but the store is laid out a bit differently than other stores. I will say the one bad thing is the self service coffee, do yourself a favor and go next door. This post comes a month or so after theyve opened but they are still figureing out things like when you have one cash register open in a line of 10 people that maybe you might want to open another cash register. And as always expect to the express lane to be slow with all the entitled surburban crunchies to be pushy that they are in a rush so 25 small items are really like 12 normal items.

I was very excited for the opening of the location closer to home after working near the one in Annapolis. The store was clean however the quality of the soups and food was not up to the same standard. The flavors were bland and options few. The sandwich bar was no where to been seen for customization. And favorite pastry items were not sold in the store. I will continue to long trek to Annapolis for my options as I was very disappointed at the College Park location

The store is very nice. I especially love the produce department and the close proximity to my home and thats about it. The customer service is the WORST! Beware of the nasty bearded guy at the seafood counter. The store manager....he could care less. Im not a complainer and Ive worked in customer service for 25 years. I know what they go through BUT what Ive experienced the two times I visited confirmed that I will spend my money elsewhere.

Got in 8 mins b/4 closing. Expected to find a salad bar/prepared foods section that was near empty. Also thought Id be rushed out. To my surprise, there was ample food and was only gently reminded that the store was closing a good 30 mins after the official close time. Of course, WFM is definitely pricey ("Whole Paycheck"), but if ur looking for healthier options and a good variety, I would recommend you visit.

Favorite whole foods hands down. Excellent layout and design, and the bulk section has most everything I want. Its a good shopping experience, the walkways are spacious and the aisles short, so theres little congestion (eg compared to the silver spring location) I found the Asian food section surprisingly sparse, but that is one of the few complaints I could make about the place.

This Riverdale Park Station Route 1/Rhode Island Avenue location is very clean, neat and convenient near Maryland University College Park campus. The hot and cold food bars are smaller and provide fewer choices than the Bestheda location I frequent the most. Kids will enjoy the mini water feature especially on those hot summer days. The area is still under construction but nice.

Great to have Whole Foods nearby for the few things I dont get elsewhere. But, my expectations were dashed by an interior design solution that was NOT a cut above their past permutations. This stores architecture is likely a reflection of their financial troubles. The Amazon takeover might afford some re-branding tricks to access broadened range of income levels.

The food is not up to par..been there in two different occasions tried different things and have been disappointed, the fried rice(terrible), meatballs(terrible) Clam chowder(okay but Ive had better). Im a fan of the Annapolis Whole Foods and expected the same taste in the food and they are not the same. Annapolis chef needs to come down and do some training.

Really, really nice Whole Foods (bigger and better than Silver Springs)but TINY produce section! Also, Jack Fruit slices are like $20 here - go to New Grand Mart down the street to get them for $5. Some prices are simply outrageous. Go here for the pizza, hot bar, fresh pressed juices, mochi bar and gourmet cheeses. Ill take my grocery shopping elsewhere.

Great Whole Foods. Smaller foot print than other locations and other grocery stores in the area, but has a good selection. Varied to go offerings include pizza (from wood fired oven, possibly) with great veggie options, fresh made pasta ready to take home and cook, and hot and cold bars. Also, fantastic cheese section. No alcohol sales.

While I love the location, I dont love buying fish from this store. Its a new facility but I am always aware of the fish scent as I approach that section. Fortunately, the dairy section is not too far and everytime Ive been there, I am warmly greeted and helped by the lady in the cheese section!

The customer service given to my wife at the meat department was nasty. Asked for a chicken to be cut in pieces at 8:30 p.m and the employee was almost refusing to provide the service because his cutting table was cleaned at 8:30 p.m when the store closes at 10:00 p.m very unprofessional

The staff of this wholefoods,on route one, is knowledge and helpful. I hope it is not just because its new. I find that other wholefoods in this area are not so customer service oriented. I appreciate being treated like a valued customer when spending time and money in a business .
