I just love going here because they have things you can not find anywhere else. I am so sick of chain grocery stores that stock processed food made by food scientists who denature whole foods and add back in cheap fillers. By this time it is churned into dog food. The box the food comes in has more nutrition than the food inside. But at this store there are real food choices. Some of my favorite things about this store 1. There is always a shady place to park 2. They make the pizza fresh for you, even if you just want a slice. The pizza is outstanding 3. The deli meat seems better than in the grocery stores 4. The sales they have are really generous 5. They have a good amount of dark chocolate products. Even real baked goods from a real bakery. 6. The bulk foods section is the best I have ever had to pick from. They have lots of organic finds in the bulk section. This is rare. This does not happen usually. 7. The milk choices are good if you love milk. I am fussy when it comes to milk. 8. There are lots of free samples of expensive products 9. The produce has some good finds. Like organic habenero pepper. Try finding that at a grocery store, you might, but not organic! 10. The people are insanely friendly. I am a type 1 diabetic and had a low while in the store. An employee asked if I needed some help. I did tell her what was wrong but brushed her off b/c normally people dont want to be bothered with that. So I left on my own to try to pick out something to eat. But then she sent employees to help me. Some manager told me he was hypoglycemic as well and gave me a free Lara bar and brought me some water. Then the other employees at the register circled around to make sure I was okay. I mean this never happens. Normally people are really mean or they dont want to be bothered. So I like it here. I come every day. I did before this incident but obviously I still come here for as long as its here.

This place is great! Decently priced organic fruits and vegetables. They are not only locally sources but good quality. They have many other things at this grocery store. I love the "Back to Nature" brand. They make a spin off of Cheese itz and Oreo cookies that are absolutely delicious and my son loves! They have Perrydell milk which is local and also good quality. They have samples of things located throughout the store which is great for trying new things. I like their selection of vegan products although Im not vegan. Last but not least they have a nice soup/salad bar, deli, butcher, and brick oven for pizza. You can leave with a fully made pizza or one to make at home.

Love the wide array of organic options and locally produced food!! We needed a place like this in York, and its great to know that the proceeds help children and others who are disabled. The only reason why i didnt rate 5 stars is because there are some items like meat and non-dairy options that are gonna be hard to afford on a low-income, but thats mainly a societal issue that cant be helped by the store. (If thats gonna change its going to have to be on a large-scale) but anyway, theres many options even bulk nuts etc for making your own trail mix etc which is amazing.

We love this market and go here very frequently. We loved the original concept behind the market of being for local farms and businesses. The issue that we have is that it has become very commercialized and have branched out of the local farms and businesses. They still offer a lot of local products but they also offer a lot of things that you can get at any other supermarket. Their prices are also a little higher, but, with good reason as the profits all go to the farm to help special needs children and adults.

WOW. We didnt know how great this spot was until we happened to be in the area a week or so back. What an amazing selection of local foods and a really impressive prepared foods and cheese setup. So excited to know about this place and everything we picked up exceeded our expectations (meat, cheeses, bakery goods)!

We shopped before the grand opening! Nothing wasnt good. A marvelous experience, great location, excellent selection. For a non-profit it seemed so savy it was commercial. By that I mean was well organized, customer friendly. Just amazing. No gaps in the offering. You could do grocery shopping here.

This store not only carries quality organic products but also serves as a fantastic culmination of the areas produce and baked goods. They have very good ready-made food such as pizza and sushi and a great deli and salad bar. I especially recommend the pies and baked goods from the Copper Crust.

This place is more like a Whole Foods than it is a farmers market. They had just opened when I visited and were lacking in selection of the local grown variety. Looked like they had more area outside they were getting ready so maybe theres more to come.

I eat A LOT of meat so every week I purchase my grass fed beef and farm raised chicken here! The wonderful thing here is that 70% of their profits goes towards the Leg Up Farm programs. Oh and their sushi is fantastic!

Definitely something York County was craving. Kind of like a Whole Foods. Their product inventories overlap but Leg Up is $0. 20-50 more expensive per item than Whole Foods.

Great selection of Paleo and Keto products. Prices are what you expect but similar to Traders Joes and Whole Foods.
