I called to order flowers for my mom. I am 25 years old. I was asking about bamboo, beause I had heard it gives luck and the woman was extremely rude. I then asked where they were located and she gave me the street address. I vaguely remember where they are located so I asked if they were located by the giant and she asked me if I was even old enough to purchase flowers (HOW RUDE!) I said actually Im 25, but I dont think Ill be needing the bamboo afterall, because she was extremely rude and that she shouldnt speak to customers that way! She hung up on me as I was speaking!! How much worse could a woman get?!?! and this was the owner!!! Then i called back to let her know that my husband purchases flowers from her every month and would no longer be doing that and said GOOD! and hung up! I could have not have been any nicer to this woman. DO NOT GO HERE! I have also noticed the flowers my husband thinks he is sending me are not what I am getting. When they say roses you dont get roses. I didnt want to anything to him, because he is overseas and I didnt want to hurt his feelings, but they cheat you out of your money. They send you the cheapest looking flowers with none of the extra stuff the promise. No balloons or bears. THEY ARE AWFUL! DO NOT BUY FROM THEM! There are plenty of other florists in the area who are nice and do great arrangements!

I have never written a Google review but I feel I must for Penny Lane. Please do yourself and whomever the flowers are for and dont purchase flowers from this establishment. When ordered i referenced an arrangement shown on their website which was full of blue and white flowers including hydrangeas. My specific request was for "fresh" flowers. I was told they just received their shipment and would make sure everything was fresh and bright. Somehow in the florist mind this translated to sunflowers and red roses garnished with oak leaves and juniper. While I will admit that sunflowers are bright, they are not what were requested. When I called she said she told me she had no hydrangea which was not true. She did offer to deliver a new arrangement when they came in the next week. So at least there was some effort made. Less then 18 hours after delivery the sunflowers were dead and the arrangement looked horrible. I called to ask if I could just receive a partial refund and for them to keep the second arrangement. I was told no and she didn’t need to see the pictures taken of the dead flowers and basically told have a good day. I’m not a complainer at all, it takes a lot for me to even write this but please do yourself a favor and go to Giant or your local grocery store for flowers before giving an order to Penny Lane.

I would not recommend Flowers by Penny Lane. My husband surprised me with flowers for our anniversary. He used 1-800-Flowers, and they used this local company. The flowers arrived a day earlier than requested, when he knew I wouldnt be home. He ordered a $60 arrangement, but what arrived was small and very cheap-looking. It looked nothing like the picture. There was one beautiful red rose, but the rest of the flowers were limp and wilting. He called 1-800-Flowers and they said that they would have the florist send a new arrangement, but nothing ever arrived! When he called 1-800-flowers AGAIN, he found out that apparently Flowers by Penny Lane thought the original arrangement was good enough and never intended to send a replacement, but they never told anyone that. I felt bad because he really did try to send a beautiful gift, but this shop totally dropped the ball. Luckily, 1-800-Flowers has excellent customer service.....Flowers by Penny Lane is not so great though.

Ordering from Flowers by Penny Lane was one of the worst experiences I have ever had. First of all I placed the order online and selected a $80 bouquet for Boss Day. When the delivery man came it looked NOTHING like the one I had selected!! Nothing! Not the same color family, not the same type of flowers, not the same type or shape vase! Also the flowers were almost dead, wilted and most missing petals! This thing couldnt have looked more pathetic! I was so upset. I mentioned to the Driver that there must be a mistake. He said he "just delivers them, doesnt make them". I asked if he could just check to see if I had received the wrong one. He said to call in. Which I did. They assured me that they would have the driver bring the correct item out and pick up the incorrect one. That was 4 1/2 hours ago. Still nothing! When I called back they said the same thing. I asked If I could expect this today? Very rude reply then they hung up on me. Do not waste your money!

My daughter send me flowers for Mothers Day because she was away at college and couldnt be with me. The flowers arrived the day BEFORE she had scheduled the delivery and just left by the front door. No one came home until later that evening and we have no idea how long the flowers sat out in the heat. There was card, just a piece of what looked like scrap paper with her message on it. The flowers were NOT EVEN CLOSE to what she had ordered. There were 12 pink roses, she had ordered a large floral ARRANGEMENT. Many of the roses looked weather-beaten, 10 of the 12 roses had dead, dried up or brown leaves. There was also no plant food enclosed. My daughter is a college student and I feel awful that her hard earned $$ that she spent came in such poor condition and were delivered on the wrong date, when I was out of town. I would give Penny Lane a -10 stars if that were possible. Use another florist in the area BUT NOT THIS ONE!

I ordered via Teleflora so I did not choose Penny Lane. The delivery address was an elementary school, as the recipient is a teacher there and it was her birthday. Penny Lane called her and left a message stating they were having "trouble with their truck" and asked how long she would be at school. Naturally, the recipient was teaching and could not call back right away. Common sense would lead one to believe that a school teacher would likely be gone by 3pm on a Friday afternoon but the delivery was attempted after and recipient was gone. Even though Penny Lane delivers to all zip codes surrounding recipients home zip code, they do no deliver to hers. So the delivery will now have to wait until Monday. If it even happens. THANKS. Never using Teleflora and certainly not Penny Lane again. I realize Teleflora plays a part in this as well and I have already been in contact with them (useless).

I ordered flowers for my sister-in-laws fathers funeral, as did my Mother and my sister -- all independent orders. All 3 orders were a disappointment. We ordered large floral sprays to show our support for our dear family member. Instead we saw small flower arrangements that were embarrassing and did not reflect what we had purchased. We had selected the flowers from the web site and ordered by the arrangement name, so it was clear what we expected and the size expected (the measurements are listed on the web site). I tried 4 times to get restitution. The "manager" told me the "owner" would call me. Never happened. On my return calls she made up more lies. It ended up with her yelling at me on the phone. I thought I was the customer! Then I was overcharged on my credit card! THESE PEOPLE ARE LIARS AND CHEATS!!
