I shop weekly at Safeway at Arundel Mills. Much to my amazement, I found there is and will no longer be a coffee bean grinder! Really!!!! Three customers stood with me with bags of coffee beans in hand with no way to grind our coffee beans. Over the weekends there is a line of customers waiting at the coffee bean grinder machine. I would like to know who made that brilliant decision!!! I was given a card to send in my complaint. Forget that!!! I called California and spoke to a very nice lady. She said she would send in my complaint. I really dont have confidence anyone at Safeway cares. No wonder your store is never busy! I do not want empty promises, I WANT ACTION!! I RESPECTFULLY REQUEST OUR COFFEE BEAN GRINDER BACK. Thank you, Peggy Holbert

I forgot my safeway card, and for some reason, my phone number wasnt in the system. The cashier looked lost in her post, as she dormitory know what to do, and kept repeating that I should fill up another bonus card application, despite the fact that I informed her that I had done that already twice in the last six months and had updated my phone number three months ago. Finally, a manager came to the rescue, but instead of providing an alternative solution, he came with excuses as to why my phone number wasnt in the system, and didnt offer any other solution other than me filling up another application... Obviously, they need better training

This place is a dump too. I went in at 10:00 am in the morning and the store looked like there had been a riot there. The parking lot was littered with trash, the check-out stations were full of trash, the employees were unkempt, the coolers were filthy and food items were strewn about the floor. I never buy food here. I buy trash bags, batteries, light bulbs and the like and keep it moving... UPDATE: This Safeway has hit a new low that is DANGEROUS. This time, there was raw meat (bacon and burger patties) strewn about the aisles at room temperature.

This place is absolutely disgusting. It has the worst produce I have ever seen. Nothing is fresh... Safeway should be ashamed of itself for even keeping this store open. The management have such a take it or leave it attitude that they walk away as youre talking to them. Theyre open 24 hours yet only one register is open and you cannot do self check out, so some evenings the lines are a good 30 minutes or more just to check out. Absolutely disgraceful. And this is to the management take a little bit of personal pride in what you do

I like to do my grocery shopping on Sunday. The last few times Ive gone the produce is sparse and missing some essential items (broccoli, zucchini, red onions...). The prices are about standard for the area but they never have more than 2 or 3 checkouts open. Sometimes the line for checkout is 5-8 people long and they dont open another lane... Very frustrating! Wegmans is not far away. If its more than one of two things Ill just go there.

I use this store mainly because my bank is there...its torture to shop here- express lanes almost always closed...there shld always be at least one express lane open....your always pushed to self check-out....I am so over stores with no employees ! Today was my first time in all these years using the ladies room..WOW....quite possibly the messiest most dirty bathroom in the county. Do yourself a favor- stop somewhere else

First issue, the self check out line was ridiculous and a few were not working. Second issue, went to wire some money and the person was unprofessional. Third and fourth time, trying to wire some money, machine was not working and no one greeted me and waited for a long time. I will not go back there only unless Im buying something and the cashier is friendly. Service sucks.

I like this store a lot ...If it wasnt clean I wouldnt go there. The produce guys are friendly and Betty is the sweetest, friendliest cashier I have ever encountered. She brightens my day every time I am in her line. The store has organic section, has many rare items such as my vegan chocolate chips(Enjoy Life) and wide variety of fruits and veggies.

Never has enough 2 liter Pepsi Max stocked, always out or only ever like one 2 liter. Theres also never enough cashiers. They have like 10 lanes but only ever have like 2 open. Also self check out machines have been acting wonky since they upgraded them to use the chip system, they always say theres an unexpected item when there isnt.

Whole Foods prices, Walmart checkout lines. Never enough cashiers, but if all the self-checkout stations are open, it moves alright. Price tags are frequently out of date, so be sure to read them closely. Sometimes they run out of sale items, which when you consider their regular prices, are about the only things worth buying.

My wife went there to buy a cake at the bakery. She requested they right Happy Birthday Jesus on it. The lady turn rude and said she did not know how to do it. My wife asked her to then just put Jesus. She put it on the cake then was rude when my wife thanked her. Can someone tell me what happened to customer service.

I am not someone to leave reviews often but this was one of the most unpleasant experiences I have ever had shopping. The place is managed by people that can only be described as unintelligent and disorganized. They are totally unaware of there foods quality and shelf life. Use caution when shopping at this location.

THE WORST store in this area! Save yourself, go to the Gambrills store. Customer Service is the worst and HDQTRS doesnt seem to mind. Shopping here is like having a tooth pulled - nerve wrecking! The Gambrills store is very different and employees have pleasant attitudes and the store is fully stocked.

The service was incredibly slow. They had a ton of customers waiting in line on a Sunday evening and didnt seem to care that my ice cream was melting. Prices are okay and the variety we searched for were good. But if you cant get the it of the store before it melts, the rest goes to waste.

The store was clean, clearly labeled (although a little cramped) and the staff were all very friendly and knowledgeable. I experienced this while going on a grocery run at 2:30am so I can imagine the store is in even better shape during normal hours. I will likely be back.

This store has the worst customer service desk in the area. If you go there you might as well count on waiting at least 15-20 minutes, and representatives will let their their co-workers and friends cut in line in front of you. The store manager doesnt care.

Very nice people who said good morning as they stocked shelves and the cashier asked me if I had a safeway card and I said no so he quick scanned one and gave it to me and saved me $7.50. Also it was 4a.m. so I was pleased they were so quick and courteous.

This store is horrible never more than 2 registers open lines down the isle and today the service desk was closed not happy with your customer service Safeway is either too cheap to hire more employees or the employees are not paid enough to work there
