Very friendly staff, I know most by name. Fairly well equipped grocery store with a small organics section (located in the produce area). Beer aisle includes a few Virginia and craft brews, they seem to be expanding over time. Smoker? They have two varieties of American Spirit, yellow and light blue. They also sell Zonnic nicotine gum. Tried the deli once for lunch meat (hard salami), it smelled and tasted like garbage. Deli staff seem to have forgotten that wearing gloves is to protect against cross contamination and spreading bacteria, not to protect their hands. Watched as the associate handled equipment (including the scale), dumped scraps into the trash, and went from one meat to the next without changing gloves. Overall, a very friendly and nice place to shop.

For being the only grocery store around for miles and in a tiny little town, this Food Lion is really fantastic. The store is always clean, neat and organized. The staff are always friendly and ready to help out with no complaints. Prices are decent too, although they dont have as many specials as I like to see at a grocery store. Overall, great shopping experience to be had here.

The only non-independent grocery store in Northumberland County. If you live here, you shop here. Main complaint is that they sometimes need more employees on Friday afternoon-evenings, as the area swells with "come-heres" on the weekends. Gets a little backed up
