Please dont support this business anymore! I used to love shopping at Bookholders because they have good prices, but I dont anymore because they got my order wrong and refused to do anything about it except offer me a refund, which they made clear to me was going out of their way. (I ordered a book with NO writing in it and they gave me one that had writing) Really?? I needed the book for my class and didnt have time to wait to get one on Amazon, so I asked that they let me exchange it with a copy that didnt have writing (they had like 3-4 other copies) but they refused. They were very rude and short with me and treated me like I was stupid, repeating over and over again that "there was nothing they could do." So at the last minute they begrudgingly offered me a $5 off coupon for a purchase $50-$99 that expired in 5 days. Lol. After Id already gotten all my books for the semester. What an insult!

This bookstore has HORRIBLE service. I ordered a book a week before they were to go on spring-break. Apparently, NO ONE thought it was a good idea to inform me that they would be CLOSED the ENTIRE week of spring-break. I spoke with TWO people prior to their break and they ASSURED me my book would be delivered the next week (their spring break). Well since they were closed, that DIDNT happen. TWO weeks later I am STILL without a book. I called the store manager who sounded VERY nonchalant and did not offer a solution. INSTEAD he blamed the corporate office for not notifying me of their break. If you need a textbook AVOID them! They have very poor service and unprofessional workers.

Terrible first experience. Purchased a book from BookHolders through the Half Price Books website. Received a hardcover with no dust jacket, even though the only image in the listing was of the dj and even though the listing (of a "hardcover," not a paperback) never mentioned the absence of a dj. Also, they shipped the book literally in just a soft plastic sleeve. That bare-minimal packaging was also never mentioned in the listing. No padding, no bubble mailer--and no surprise, every corner of the book was significantly dinged, with edges knicked too. Then I had to pay the return shipping. Never buying from BookHolders again. Buyer beware.

DO NOT SELL YOUR BOOKS BACK TO THIS PLACE. They take advantage of students and will straight rob you. I brought a textbook (which I bought from them a year before for over $100) and they told me I could get $4 cash now or put it online for $62 so I of course put it online. A week later, I go online to check the status and see that it has been sold for $11. Its already been sold, theres nothing they can do. I would never have bothered to put it online for $11 considering how much I initially paid for it. BEWARE if you are going to sell your books here, because they WILL take every opportunity they get to steal your money.

I bought "Bates Visual Guide to Physical Assessment: Student Set on CD-ROM / Edition 4 by Lynn S. Bickley" from the seller via Barnes and Noble marketplace. Though shipping was relatively quick, 5 out of 19 CDs were damaged. Super frustrating, given the price of the items. Wished the seller was honest about the description of the items. Not cool at all!

This place is pathetic. I ordered a used book in "good" condition and got a book that isnt fit to be a doorstop. I asked about returning and they said that the returns on that item had expired. Not only did it take 3 weeks to get the book, but they shipped me a horrible copy and wouldnt refund me. DO NOT SHOP HERE!

terrible service, they dont even know what they are selling. I asked for student notes which they have online but the store clerk said they dont have any even though it says they sell them for fall 2013. False advertisement and they sold my books for 50 cents. Bookholders SUCKS.

Make sure you use this service if you want to get ripped off--once they post your books then they wait till Sat or Sunday night at 10pm to send out price change notices that take effect at midnight---then your book gets sold for 50cents. I dont know how this can be legal.

Terrible service. I returned a book there a month ago and they never processed the cancellation of the order, even after me calling twice. I still havent gotten my money back. They wouldnt even put me on the phone with a manager when I requested to speak with one.

The book I purchased for hundreds less than my college bookstore offered was said to be in good condition. I received the book extremely quickly and the book is in perfect condition! I will definitely use them again in the future. Highly recommend this seller.

My experience was different. They had the books I needed and I thought the price was fair. Also, the people were nice who worked there. I did not have a bad experience at all. I would call it good.

They listed a paperback textbook, which I ordered. Then they shipped me what they claimed was an e-book, but was actually modeling software with an expired pass-code. DO NOT BUY OR SELL FROM THEM,

Get textbooks here! Much better prices than the university book store, plus many of the books are being sold by students so you are helping others rather than just supporting barns and nobles

BookHolders is OK. The service is fine and all, but the prices could be better--especially when compared to online retailers. The quotes they give for buying books is also stupidly low.

Great place to get used textbooks. They are almost always cheaper than Amazon. Pickup is fast and easy and they also deliver for free

Too greedy to be true, and they hide the fact that at least 20% of the book selling price goes to commission fee unless u ask.
