I was looking for a place to tobacconist near where I live, and its very convenient because its about a ten minute walk from my work and right near the Bethesda metro. Im fairly new to the cigar world and cigars in general, and went here after reading nothing but good things about the place looking for recommendations to build my palate. Being fairly young for a cigar smoker, I was a bit nervous about falling into the "damn kids" stereotype. To the contrary, the tobacconist, Mike, was nothing but friendly, and the atmosphere was very relaxed. Just a bunch of friendly people chatting and passing time over a good cigar. I was very impressed, and definitely plan to patronize this store whenever Im looking for a good smoke.

Bethesda Tobacco is a marvelous place to escape to. Excellent selection of premium cigars, comfortable chairs, and downright nice people.......both the staff and patrons! I enjoy wi-fi, the excellent selection of background music (well-selected jazz) and the comfortable leather chairs. Truly a modern day "City of Refuge" where one can put aside the cares of the world and RELAX! The decor is strikingly elegant with hints of Frank Lloyd Wright punctuated by excellent works of original art (some by the erudite proprietor and tobacconist, Michael Copperman). Do yourself a favour and visit this place with a friend, or make a new one there. Places like this are getting harder and harder to find. Dont tarry.

Very nice tobacco shop, a large humidor with a good selection of cigars. Everything from Davidoff, Padron, and La Flor Dominicana to Tatuaje and La Gloria Cubana. The selection is not the generic cigars you might find in some shops. The lounge is comfortable for the hot (or cold) days, but the patio is the best. The staff seems knowledgeable and helpful. If you are a cigar smoker, this has to be the best shop in the area.

This place is very accommodating, and has a really good selection of cigars at the lowest prices Ive seen in brick and mortar locations around here. If you know nothing about cigars I would definitely suggest starting here. Theyve also got a very openly spaced lounge and the people there either minded their own business or were very friendly

I honestly cant write enough good things about this place. Theyre very friendly, very helpful, and very affordable. I was a bit worried about being looked down upon for being a novice, but I felt very welcomed. Unlike too many places these days, they actually appreciate you being a customer of their store. Top notch!

Just stopped in to buy my introductory kit to pipe smoking. Great experience with knowledgeable, patient, and customer friendly staff. I wasnt pushed into high-end pipes but was informed about the difference in quality and experience in order to make an informed purchase.

If you want a Good Steak, you Go to a Steakhouse, if you want a Fine Cigar, you have to go to Drapers! These have all the Premium Cigar line, as a knowledgeable staff that can get things done.
