I had a very poor experience at this Rite Aid. I normally use the Rite Aid back near my home in NJ, which is their store in Shrewsbury, and have been a loyal and satisfied customer there. Being on travel in MD, I had to get a prescription I needed filled here, which was sent to them by my home doctor around 11am. When I got to the store around 6:30pm, I waited in line behind a couple of people in front of me. When it was my turn, I got to the counter and gave the pharmacist there my name, whereupon he pulled the prescription from the usual row of hanging bags. Meanwhile a few people had queued up behind me. I gave him my perfectly ordinary United Healthcare medical plan card, and he looked at it and seemed to think for a moment, then he asked me to step aside while he helped other people and put the card and the prescription bag up on the counter behind him, with no real explanation. I thought he might just take a couple more people so they wouldnt have to wait, but as he was helping the next person, he said to me "you can have a seat over there" (indicating the waiting area with a few chairs.) Surprised, I said, "How long is it going to be?" and without directly answering he said something to the effect that he needed to help these other people first. So I stood over by the seats but did not sit down, and for the next 20 minutes, to my confusion and increasing frustration, he proceeded to wait on about a dozen people (yes, a dozen!) who had filed into the store to get prescriptions. Meanwhile there was another managing pharmacist behind the counter doing whatever, I suppose counting pills, in a seemingly leisurely fashion. After *every* other customer who came in the door was serviced and the queue was emptied, the first pharmacist spent about a minute behind the computer and then came out and called my name. I asked him why did I have to wait for 20 minutes while he waited on all those people who came in behind me, but all he said was that I had a new prescription card and he needed to enter it in the system. I said its not acceptable to make me wait like that when I came in before all those other people. Now he just wanted to deflect me to the manager (the afforementioned slow mover) and he came down from his high pharmacy perch, no doubt having heard everything that was said but pretending to be unaware of what transpired. I protested again that I was forced to wait for 20 minutes just because my card was new to them, while a whole line of customers who came in after me got waited on, and that theres only a few pieces of relevant information on the card to begin with so how hard could it be? The manager stood by the position that they were right to do that since entering the card information would take too long. I dont know about you, but I find that completely ridiculous. I then asked them what about their 15 minute guarantee, which is plastered on multiple posters around the pharmacy, and their answer was that my prescription was already filled when I came in so that didnt apply!! I also noticed while waiting for the other customers to clear out that one of them was also exasperated because she had come to pick up a prescription she needed but only then did they tell her they were out of it (rather than calling her Im guessing.) Anyway, in the end the managers resolution to the whole affair was to issue a rather gruff and insincere "Im sorry", obviously just wanting to get me out of the store. Overall, this was easily the worst pharmacy experience Ive ever had, and I will certainly never visit there again. I encourage you to find a better store in the area, because these people have a very poor concept of proper customer service, and probably raised my blood pressure about 30 points!

Been waiting here at the pharmacy which is supposed to be open at 8am from what is was told the night before and its 20 minutes after and still no one is here. Comes to find out the the pharmacy doesnt open until 9. This is crazy when you have an uncle on hospice and needs his medication and you are waiting for rite aid to open or someone shows up will maybe cause they dont even know the hours they work.. I dont understand the logic of pharmacy hours of operation. Now its after nine and Ive been here for an hour and no one is still here. Just found out that they wont be opening the pharmacy till 10 oclock. Customer service sucks. I will never come back to this place. This is ridiculous. Changing pharmacies! You hear the last of me going to corporate.

The customer service is terrible. There is only 1 cashier that has been fantastic each visit however the pharmacy is one of the worst. Never on time to open, rarely has my meds ready in the time THEY said it would be, kept me on hold for nearly 35 minutes just to answer 1 question (I gave up and while on hold drove there, walked up to her as shes just standing there doing nothing with another pharmacist and told her she can go ahead and hang up the phone its me) and has an impressive "I dont give a damn attitude" most of the time. Their boss must be terrible to work for as they never smile and never look happy to be there.

Customer service is terrible and its listed as a western union location but they always mess up sending and never have enough cash on hand for recieving. Pharmacy rarely has meds in stock. There is never anyone behind the counter. Worst rite aid location ever. Not that rite aid is very good to begin with, but when you have locations like this it doesnt help. If there is a blonde girl that speaks uneducated english at the front just turn and walk out. She is ridiculous.

The pharmacist is stupid as hell and idk how her minions maintain employment. My son has seizures and every month I have to fight to get his meds refilled because they dont know how to process the insurance. Called the district manager and left numerous messages but still have not received a return call. If you dont want to do your job stay the hell home!

My experience with this Rite Aid has improved. The same lady works there but we are cordial now. I guess if you want to quibble they can be prone to doing their own calculations on when your insurance can authorize an early refill, other than that nothing to complain about.
