Koba Cafe may very well be my favorite place in Baltimore City. When I first moved to Baltimore (over a year ago now) I was looking for friendly, open place to enjoy a coffee and get work done over the weekend. Words can hardly describe how quickly I fell in love with the staff, atmosphere, and smoothies at Koba Cafe. Whether you are looking for a bright place to enjoy a drink with a friend, or trying to find a unique art piece to hang in your home... Koba Cafe has it all and more. I highly recommend checking it out, and returning to check it out again and again!

Ive been here many times to do some work and read. The coffee is very good, the pastries (at least the ones Ive tried) are really good. The owner - great guy every time Ive seen him there. The upstairs I would say is the best study/work spot in a Baltimore coffee shop. Its kind of dilapidated, but heck this is Baltimore. Even has a small "conference" room which Ive used if its empty. Ill go here again, no problem. Id give it 4.5 stars if I could, but Ill round up since the owner is great, good coffee, service excellent, and work/study area so functional.

Service with a smile, clean, quiet and charming with beautiful African music playing in the background. The espresso is what I get and when Im hungry here I get the APPLE CHICKEN SALAD. when you get done eating this salad you will have about 50% more energy than you had before you ate it. I love foods that do that. You can order and then sit down and theyll bring it to you. Downstairs is sunny and conversational, upstairs is focused and quiet. you get the best of both worlds here.

Koba Cafe is absolutely the best coffee shop in Baltimore. As a writer that looks for a comfortable place to write, Koba is extremely clean, warm and feels like I am working in a living room upstairs. The wifi has always worked for me and there are ample places to plug in. The coffee is great, the people are friendly, and their prices are also great. You just cant go wrong and I never have, by going to Koba.

Best coffee spot in SoBo hands down. This is a great spot with friendly staff and good coffee, food, smoothies and pastries. Ive used this place for weekend brunches, a spot to grab coffee before work, a place for meeting clients in SoBo and a place just to get away and work out of the office. The owner Adam is as friendly as can be. I highly recommend this spot.

Koba cafe is incredible. Its run by a man named Adam. He genuinely cares about his customers and will greet people by name as they enter the cafe! His products are awesome, I especially like the Almond Joy coffee and all of the smoothies! Upstairs is an open area with a lot of tables where people often go to do work/ study/ etc. Oh, and its dog friendly!! LOVE!

This could be the gem of South Baltimore, as it is cozy (two floors), has great coffee, wifi, and the staff is always nice. The downside is the silly hours, as it is closed at night (by 5 or 6), and not everyone in Fedral Hill wants to go to a bar after work. If they were open late, me thinks theyd triple their business.

Skip that chain coffee place down the street and stop by Koba, where Adam, the owner, knows everyone in the neighborhood and always has a friendly smile. Free WiFi, great food and drinks, and plenty of space, including larger tables and sofas upstairs, are just a few of the excellent characteristics of Koba.

They make great coffee. The upstairs lounge is a fantastic place to work. Update: The employees really are the nicest people. On an extremely hot day recently, I came down from the lounge to leave and the barista had a large cup of ice water ready to go and insisted that I take it as I went out.

Quiet and quaint. The upstairs is very calming for study or chilling. Internet is fast and the climate is what youd expect from a second floor old corner shop. The downstairs is clean, the staff helpful and friendly and the coffee delicious. Adam the owner is also great. Meet hi if you can.

Not only does Koba have the best staff and feel for any coffee shop in Baltimore, it also has the best coffee of any independent shop in town. Additionally, I have seen more attractive customers in Koba than in the city as a whole. There is just something special about this place.

Everybody was extremely nice, going the extra step to make sure I was comfortable and enjoyed my order. Upstairs area is perfect for doing work with plenty of seating and outlets so you can bring your laptop and other devices and just park yourself here for the day.

I really like this place a lot. Their smoothies are made from real fruit and the coffee is great. Ive never had any of the food except for a bagel (which was fine), but I do make a special trip to come here just for the coffee. Really nice employees too.

First time in Baltimore, first cup of coffee here, and a wonderful experience by both staff and quality of goods. Their coffee was genuinely tasty. Absolutely recommend, and Ill probably be back throughout the rest of my stay to try more of the menu!

Hands down the best place to grab a coffee and catch up with neighborhood friends in Locust Point. The food & grab-and-go selections are far batter than any other shops in the area. Adam greets everyone who walks through the door warmly. A+++

Great spot for a quick cup of joe and a quiet read of your fave book. Its seems to be becoming a popular sport for students to study. Its a very quaint spot offers a nice open space for seating upstairs. I really like the vibe. Quiet. Cozy.

Very very cool place to relax with a cup of tea. Its like Starbucks but less corporate with better food and more reasonable prices. Staff is always friendly and the place is always clean whenever I go in. Highly recommended!

Excellent coffee, quiet upstairs sitting area, and good service. My only complaint is that it can be a little troublesome to park in the area, but there are usually spots nearby.

Fabulous fresh coffee. Cafe Americano is amazing. Tuna is a great protein lunch flavored with lime and pepper. Owner, Adam, will always remember your name.
