I am writing this review in hopes to stop anyone else from having to endure the same terrible experience that I have. On May 6th 2017 I went to this store to purchase a battery for my 2011 Honda Accord Crosstour. The store technician (Wayne) installed my battery incorrectly causing a power surge to run through my car and completely blow my alternator. Before he installed my battery he checked my alternator and told me it was fine. After getting the battery installed I noticed my car was way more powerful than usual, the technician told me it was because I had a new battery and not to worry. Well I didnt even get 1/4 of a mile away from the parking lot at Auto Zone before my car started smoking! I immediately went back to the store, the technician and the Asst. Store Manager (Tony) both could not tell me what was wrong. I turned my car off and at that point it went completely dead with smoke still coming from my alternator. Tony the Asst. Store Manager called the his boss Store Manager Alvin Govan on the phone and told him what happened. (I was standing right there listening) He told him something went wrong with the install and that they would have a repair claim coming, Tony then told me that I would have to file a claim and assured me they would pay for the repairs within 1 or 2 business days after the claim is filed. I had to be towed out of Auto zones parking. After 4 tows and 3 mechanics my car finally got accurately diagnosed at Xtereme Motors on ODonnell St. They even provided Auto Zone with a detailed explanation of why this happened to my car. The explanation clearly states there was a power surge due to the battery being installed incorrectly. Now after 9 days Auto Zone is giving me the run around. Telling me that its not that cut and dry. Its seems quite clear, cut and dry to me and just down right common sense, being as though I drove into Auto Zone with NO PROBLEMS and had to be towed away!! I watched this technician put my negative cable on first then my positive with the key still in the ignition. I as a customer has no clue of how a battery is to be properly installed. I am also a Lyft Driver and has been unable to earn any income since May 6th. I feel that Auto Zone is responsible for my repairs, tows, diagnosis at the other two repair shops, all is my Lyft rides to and from trying to figure out what happened to my car, as well as my lost wages for the time I have not been able to use my car for work. I have also called and left messages for the District Manager Lester Stanley who hasnt return any of my phone calls either. Please Please Please NEVER GO TO AUTO ZONE to have ANYTHING done to your car!! Save yourselves the time, money and headache PLEASE! I am still waiting on a response from them and I am still without my car 9 days later!! My next step is to file a complaint with the Attorney Generals office of consumer complaints and get my attorney involved.

So I called into this story at 9:28PM on Monday May 2nd and asked if I could come into the store to purchase some windshield wipers and have them put on. The guy who answered he phone said that I could still have them put on despite it being rainy. Of course once I arrived to the store, purchased the blades and everything, I asked him to put the blades on. He questioned if the car out front was my vehicle. Then he adds that employees do not work in the rain. I was pissed. I informed him thats why I called in beforehand to ask. I then demanded a full refund. I think that its a stupid business move for autozone, A SERVICE FACILITY, to not install wiper blades in the rain. Provide your employees with ponchos if you have to. The employee ended up giving me a refund, and I even overheard the manager in the background asking the employee if I wanted to get something else. Totally oblivious to what was going on. Pathetic in my opinion. I calmly walked out. Im pretty sure I will never go to autozone to assist me with my automotive needs - a pathetic business for those who are in need of assistance with simple vehicle issues

Ive been doing a lot of repairs for the first time over the past month, and have visited half a dozen auto parts stores. I came here because its Autozones warehouse store for the area, and the only one that stocked the part I needed. The service was spectacular. I needed to replace the power steering pump, and they went out of their way to help me with their ratcheting drill and pulley kit to remove and install the pulley onto the new pump I observed that employees were outside, helping people diagnose noises, recharge someones AC, carry out heavy parts, and someone even came out to see how I was doing on my pump installation. More helpful than any other autozone, advance auto, or salvo in the area. Go out of your way to go to this store if you dont need just the part, but might need some service with it.

Terrible. The staff is enept, poor customer service. Ordered a rack at 12:30. 2 and a half hours later they still hadnt sent it. Had to call and got put on hold 3 times for 20 minutes before they figured out what i was calling about and then said the guy was walking out the door right now. I would give them negative stars if possible. This place is a joke. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this store. Weve had multiple times when it will take all day to get a part delivered to our shop and when we call to check on it they dont even know what a invoice number or reference number is. Smh.

If you dress well and look "DIFFERENT" the guys here dont know how to handle you as a customer, forget about them showing any respect... The manager needs to teach these idiots how to treat everyone equally.... I blame the managers "train your associates in " CULTURE&DIVERSITY", get with the times people. When are we going to respect everyone no matter of his or her sexual preference or how someone look?? Backwards Baltimore

Terrible Custumer service went there to purchase an headlight bulb but when I, went to ask at the parts associate counter rejected to help me saying that I had to go at the waiting line first but at line it was only one Guest waiting to cash out but where I was its for parts only my advise is Dont bother to go at this location where the employees are careless when it come to Guest Service.

I am in agreement with the other negative reviews given for this location. Poor and horrible customer service The assistant store manager told us to "go away while he tries to install the new battery in our car". We couldnt even ask any questions about the new battery. how this place is still in business boggles the mind. If i could give it negative 3 for a review, I would do that!

If I could give this store 0 stars, I would. They are completely inept, dont warranty their parts and always complain when you ask them to do their job. Especially Troy. He is their commercial "manager" and aside from not knowing his a** from a hole in the ground, he is always rude and incredibly lazy
