On Friday, I went to Advance Auto to pick up a new battery, and a new alternator. Luckily, the store manager (Solange!!) at Advance Auto Parts was attending to customers at the time. When I told her what I needed, she advised me to let her check my battery, and that I might not need both. After checking my batteries, she found out that they were in fact low, but recommended that I fix the alternator first before the battery. She helped me charge my battery, and then referred me to a local mechanic who can install a new alternator at a great price. I cannot say how thankful I am to have met Solange. Not only did she help me charge my batteries (she didnt have to, she could have just sold me something I didnt need especially knowing how green I was), she helped me put air in my tires, and referred me to a great mechanic. If you are looking to buy car parts, and are clueless about cars like me! you should ask for Solange at Advance Auto Parts in Catonsville. Thanks Solange!!!!

I went to advance Autopart on Baltimore National Pike Rt. 40 in Ingleside plaza. I was there to get a headlight. The guy asked my year,make & model of my car and I gave it to him. He gave the lighbulb. It was $10 plus tax. I then asked if They could change the lightbulb for me and he said no. So the next day i went to pepboys where they serviced my car but also told me that i was sold the WRONG lightbulb for my headlight. I was forced to buy another lightbulb & pay for the service. I then called advance auto part and was told that I could only get a store credit. I feel like if I was sold the wrong part then I should recieve my money back. With or without my receipt because it was not my mistake that was made. Therefore I will never step foot into another advance auto part. I even called a friend of mine who was on her way to the advance autopart for the SAMETHING and stopped her. I told her to go straight to pepboys. This is ridiculous.

I went to the store to return an item and buy something else but the manger had to do it. Well i must say the sales rep was very helpful and knowledgeable when it came to what i was looking for. The staff was dressed well and very curious and polite. As i was looking for other things in the aisle the Manger Maxwell can to assist me and return the item that i needed to return. I must say in all my years of shopping at Advance Auto a manager a sales rep has never came to assist me like he did that day. So for that i will be a return customer to this Ingleside store thanks to Maxwell

If I was one to ignore and excuse a crappy attitude and a counter person who seemed like he was just angry being asked to form words, Id give this place five stars. He did, without being asked, get on the phone to find out what other nearby store had the part I needed. The store appeared bright and new and inviting-just not the only employee in sight. Maybe that was his early morning complaint. Wasnt my fault sir.

the only thing, never leave the store without the receipt no matter what they tell you; they might say that the order is in the system but when you need to return something that same order is no where to be found and you have no receipt. otherwise id say they have decent products at reasonable prices.

It has the normal advance Auto stuff. The waiting in line is the worst part over 30min to be rung up, sadly the staff do not want to be there today and they had no problem showing the customers. Drive the extra 10min to pepboys or 20 to the other AA in Ellicott City

Advance Auto always seems to have the very thing I need--including odds and ends for my motorcycles. I like yhis store in particular. The staff are friendly, and the atmosphere professional but relaxed. I like to think it is not such a bad place to work a retail job.

Buyers beware! These employees will sell the wrong parts and will not let you return opened packages. They are not knowledgeable and look right past you.
