I love academy because I play soccer and when you actually go in the store the employees are great helpers but customer service when you call are not the greatest I talked to a man that was very polite but I was transfered to two ladies that seemed to of not had much interest in what I was looking for

I love Academy. They are really the only store in Shreveport that has La Tech apparel. I love it. The only problem I have is i have some and bulky family members and they dont carry 3L shirts in many name brands. And what they do carry us 25.00 and up for a freaking T-shirt. Thats insane.

They have almost everything and prices are close to internet prices on most things. Its nice to be able to test out sports equipment or take a look at a barbecue before you purchase. I also particularly enjoy their large selection of handguns.Their gun staff is very knowledgeable.

My husband bought a gun safe there tonight and the men that helped load it in the rain was so nice never complained even come back out to ask if he needed help when he was strapping it in. Absolutely amazing customer service and great price on the safe too

Good place to find deals during clearance sales on clothes, hats and apparel for your favorite sports teams. Great, knowledgeable staff at the Guns counter - they know their stuff in helping you make the best self defense or hunting rifle decisions.

Over all a very good experience. Id have given them a 5 but it took them a fair while to find my item even though they said it was in stock. Also the item was $20 off and at checkout it rang up as full price.

Store is well set up with lots of displays. I was able to get someone to help me. I was not able to find what i wanted but the people apologized several times for not having the item. Nice store all in all.
