Very disappointing. I went to Heberts to research and perhaps purchase an AR 15 (Colt LE 6920 is what I had in mind). They only had 5 ARs, Smith & Wesson MPs. Thats it. I went through 3 sales rep over there. The first was an inexperienced young kid that did not have any answers to my questions. The second made me feel like I was waisting his time and kept pushing his Daniel AR product by insisting that I watch a infermercial video from the monitor that was mounted on the side wall of the store. I suspect that he was the owner. The third man was nice but I got the impression he was too busy to talk to me because he was picking up the slack. I asked him when do they expect the next shipment of LE6920 to come in. He said "no idea". He wrote down my contact information along with a list of other peoples names. I like to think that I was being cordial and patient. When I left there I blew it off thinking that that was just the nature of the beast because they dont deal with your everyday average client. I was still itching to have my unanswered questions resolved about which AR is suitable for me so I drove to Jims Firearms in Baton Rouge. I discovered that they had moved across the street to a much bigger facility. It is very clean and they have a huge selection of ARs and other firearms as well. I got there 30 minutes before closing and as I was walking midway through the store, a sales rep approached me and had asked if I needed assistance. He stayed with me and gave a great consultation until 30 minutes past closing! Needles to say I walked out with my new purchase with confidence! I am not getting paid for this true story and HEBERTS IS A JOKE !!

I have been in this store twice with the intention to buy a gun from them that day. Both times I have left after dealing with rude and incompetent salespeople. The first time i went in there was a group of people at the gun counter so i decided to take a look around while the Heberts were waiting on those customers. An employee left the gun counter and started following me around like I was trying to steal something. I then went to the counter to wait and he stood right by me and asked if he could help me. I asked to see a specific gun (the gun i was going to purchase) and he asked me if i was sure i could afford that gun. I thought he was joking but he walked back behind the counter and refused to show me the gun. I left and bought the gun at cabelas 30 min later. The second time was pretty much the same, but I had two guns in mind. I asked to see the first one and they showed it to me, when i asked to see the second the kid behind the counter rolled his eyes and started helping another customer. Once again went down the street and bought from Cablelas. Im all about helping local business but i dont know how these people stay in business with their poor customer service and terrible attitudes. I will never go in this store again, much less consider buying any products from them.

Bad customer service and poor business practices! I bought an AR-15 and went to the shooting range the week after purchasing the gun. While putting the bullets in the magazine, they would sometimes pop out and rattle in the magazine and thus jam the gun just about every 5 shots. I brought the magazine (with the receipt) back to Hebert Guns and they found the problem was the wrong magazine for my gun. They sold me a gun with the wrong magazine! Instead of exchanging the magazine, they said I had to deal directly with Bushmaster to get the correct magazine. This gun was a display model and not in a sealed box. They are trying to tell me that it was wrong from the manufacturer! They cannot prove that! So instead of them dealing with the manufacturer to correct the issue, they wanted me to purchase another magazine or deal directly with Bushmaster. THEY SOLD ME A GUN WITH THE WRONG MAGAZINE and wanted me to pay more money to fix the problem! Are you kidding me! Needless to say, I will never step foot in that store again and will tell my shooting buddies of my experience (and anyone else that will listen) and I am guessing they wont either. I cant believe that a small gun store that tries to compete with the large national chains, treats customer so poorly!

I recently had a scary experience happen to me at Albertsons where I was being stalked and followed through the store by this creepy looking guy. I told the store manager who walked me to my car and advised me not to drive directly home in case I was followed. Sure enough this guy followed me, so I pulled into the Kleinpeter sub-station and the guy apparently got scared and left. Anyways, I decided it was time to get something for protection. Ive never been a gun person, frankly Ive always been a little afraid of them. A friend of mine told me about Heberts so I went by to check them out. They were really helpful. They taught me a lot of stuff I didnt know and spent a lot of time answering my questions and showing me different guns. Mr. C.J. was very patient and helped me pick out the perfect pistol for me-a Smith and Wesson 642. Watch out now creepy guy!

Hebert Guns told the Government what guns I own!!! Charles "CJ" Hebert the owner of Hebert Guns is a JERKS and his daughter Heather Hebert. I made some comments on Facebook about their store and they did not like them. So they called a cop buddy Teddy Gonzales, who was a ok guy, had him issue FaceBook with a search warrant on my FB account. Once they did that Charles Hebert then told the police what guns I had purchased from his store. I dont know about you but thats not cool for a gun store to rat out what firearms they have. I urge all Americans that dont want the government to know what guns they own then DO NOT buy from Hebert Guns. VERY BAD and I VERY UN-AMERICAN

I feel like to accurately review Hebert Guns, you need to understand that this was my first firearm purchase and about a 3 month process of shopping around. I truly wish I had gone to Heberts first instead of last as they were the only ones to actually take the time to talk with me and ask what I was looking for, and cracked a few jokes with me. Other places were gruff, dismissive, and tried to push weapons onto me that I didnt want. Heberts will have my business forever, not just because of their wide selection, but because of their attentiveness, warmth, and their sense of humor. I hope they never change!!!
