If it were possible to rate my experience with this K-Mart as less than zero I would. I ordered a GPS online for $129.99. I didnt receive a confirmation e-mail, so I called K-Mart Customer Service and was told that the site had not logged my e-mail address. I gave it to the customer service rep and a few minutes later I received a confirmation e-mail. My credit card immediately showed pending charges for the purchase. The website said that it could take up to 2 hours to receive an e-mail with a purchase receipt. Six hours later...no receipt. I then went to the store, waited 20 minutes at customer service before finding someone to check on my order. She found the store associate who handles the online orders and our experience went down hill from there. The store associate checked and said that their location had not received anything from the online store and that even though they had two units on the shelf there was nothing she could do about our order. She then checked the pricing in the store and told us that the unit in the store was $40 more than we had paid online. She commented that the price was below their cost and didnt know how they could offer it this cheap. She suggested we cancel the order and we said no, that the price had already gone up online. Then she said "good try". We told her that we werent trying to order it, we had already orded it and had been charged for it. She knew this of course because she had our order confirmation number. The last thing she said was that we should go home and call the online order number again and "not come back again until we have the purchase receipt e-mail". Two more hours later, I called K-Mart customer service again and was told that the store had cancelled my order! I told the K-Mart customer service rep that we had not given anyone permission to cancel our order and I asked to speak to a manager. I was then transferred to Customer Solutions Escalation and was told that only the manager could tell us why the order was cancelled and that nothing could be done by the online department. The CSE rep was very friendly and apologized, but it makes no sense that a store can not fill an order without paperwork from their online store but they CAN cancel the order. To add insult to injury, the charges are still showing on my credit card. I will dispute the charge with my credit card company. This whole situation smacks of bait and switch to me, which is illegal. I dont think that there was ever any intention to sell this unit at $129.99. I WILL NEVER SHOP AT K-MART AGAIN and I will tell this story to EVERYONE I know!

I dont even want to give this store 1 star, thats how awful this place is. Every time I have gone into this store since I have moved to Mandeville, I experience the worst customer service. I go there because of the discounts. Today just really ticked me off. The summer blow out sale is going on and I noticed a Samsung 58" TV on sale for $499.99, well considering I only brought in what I needed for necessities I was going to put it on layaway to hold it. The poor lady in layaway had to come from cashier, also working jewelry at her set pay of $8.25 (ridiculous if you ask me) and super nice, so she calls someone in electronics. I wait 10 minutes or so, walk back and ask her if she can call again. Finally this older man walks up and asks if I called. I replied yes and described in detail what I was interested in, and that we would need to take it over to layaway. He proceeds to another TV, I said no thats not the one Im talking about. So I direct him to the right one and he goes to check in the back. Comes out and says he doesnt have any. So I told him he should probably take the sign down, being thats false advertisement. Just from the wait and getting my hopes up for nothing I was completely aggravated and upset. I didnt even get the things I went in for I was so over it. I do not wish to return to this store and I hope the place closes down soon honestly. I hope the lady that helped me today can find a better job that will appreciate her hard work, because she is the only person there I have seen that wasnt rude.

I first moved to the Mandeville, LA area about 2 years ago. I would stop in the Kmart maybe once a month because it was close. I never really had a great experience. The lines were long and the store was cluttered and dirty. That all changed about 2 months ago. I came in for my usual 3-4 items and noticed that the store was completely different. It was clean, organized, and was easy to find the items I was looking for. The store was under new management and it really showed. I shop this Kmart about once a week now and each week it gets better and better. I recommend our Kmart to everyone!!!

This place looks like it hasnt been updated since the early 90s and appears to be on its last leg. Its difficult to find things here as they seem to be placed without any rhyme or reason especially in the grocery area. If you live in Mandeville it is really convenient but that is the only plus. Not as much of a selection as nice stuff as Walmart or Target but its close and the prices are decent.

I ordered online and picked up from this store. They have given me wrong item and when i told them to exchange with the correct one then the customer service executive behaved very badly. Started arguing and very arrogant person she was. I faced same scenario multiple times (might be 5 times) and this time it was just too much. I will never come back to this store and never recommend to any one

Wait time is ridiculous. No sense of urgency on anything. Poor customers waited 20 minutes for a manager. I go to find one for her and I find an assistant manager. I let her know that the cashier lane 1 needs her and she says ok and continues stocking... wow! Poor customer service.. if you have read this review, then you must be online to complain too...

Cory is amazing always busy, smiling, greeting, answer questions, and encouraging his staff. It is a older store but I cannot say that I have been in the store while it was dirty. The lines havent been that long. They move quick. Shop your way rewards are good incentive s to come to the store. I love Kmart which that it was still in Hammond, La.

It is a depressing place. As I walked in, a wave of sorrow hit me. I felt cold and as if I would never be happy again. Every customer and employee looked sad. The place was dirty and poorly stocked. The walls and some of the merchandise have a yellow tint to them as if people still smoked inside.

This kmart used to be garbage, but apparently there has been a change in management, and it is actually worth going to now. If you havent gone because of poor products / service, you might want to try it again.

Often has really good sales. The store is a older and can use updates. Nice for when you need to run in and out for something. Rarely has lines to wait. Join the shopping rewards, they add up quickly.
