Worst place to work for. Bad pay even for managers and bad store managers that will treat you with zero respect. HR department is a joke. They dont listen to the employees concerns or answer the phone when called. Store manager at Gonzales, LA store is abusive. He dont allow employees to go to their doctors appointments and call your wife the day before of your wedding to ask to do training while on annual leave. Manager change your schedule whiout letting you know and then write you up for not showing up. He uses intimidation to force you to sign documents and treatens to fire you if you want to contact a lawyer before that. Tools are cheapely made by the company. Their profit margins are higher than any regular retail store, but wont provide with a decent pay to employees unless you are in Corporate. If you dont support unfair labor practices dont buy from this company. They are blood suckers.

Tools are a good value, the store is a terrible experience. I have been visiting the store over and over for 2 months looking to buy a welding cabinet; they never have it. I show up and they say that they sold the last one the day before, ridiculous. I call before I go to save a wasted trip and they make me wait for 15 minutes and then the phone hangs up. I consistently have problems with this store, you cant just walk in buy what you need and walk out; IF they have what you need you still have to stand in line for half of an hour to pay for it.

Wish there were more stores in the area or this one was better managed. This is the only one and everyone shops here. There will rarely be more than 2 registers open even with the line to the back of the store. If you go be prepared to wait for a long time to check out. Ive walked out many times because of long checkout times. Ive shopped at other HF in other states and never had the slow service that this particular location tends to have.

Great place, good tools for certain projects but not all of there tools are safe or worth buying (some are made cheap and break easily). Still go though, cool place to shop if your a craftsman, mechanic, or someone looking for a project. Alot to choose from and large variety of products.

Tool price and selection are the best, but this location is not. Aisles so small 2 people can barely walk down it together. Lines to checkout can take so long it can drive you to madness. Seriously, do not go unless you plan to spend at the very least 15 minutes to checkout.

Not enough cashiers. Tried to buy items here 3 times. The line stretches into the middle of the store and never seems to get any shorter. Ended up going to the store in Gonzales. Just mail order and avoid the stress.

Great selection on items and really good prices (especially if you can find what they have on sale). Prices on tools and hardware are a good 20 -30 %lower than Home Depot.
