In this brave new world, what is the role of the brick and mortar store? In my opinion, the one thing the brick and mortar can do better is offer face to face customer service. Now I realize people are not necessarily buying lumber and building materials through Amazon. However, often times when I go to Home Depot, I am researching a specific part or piece I need for a project. Therefore, Im looking for an employee to listen to what Im looking for, and then assist me in finding it--and possibly offer creative input. This is not the case at this location. Few employees are left on the floor, and those that are avoid eye contact and try to avoid the actual customers. But alas! There is a service center at the front. A great place to ask where to find something you would think, right? In the past three visits (I have since quit going to this location), my questions were met with "I dont know if we have that, good luck!" Now Im not looking for anything outrageous, it seems that simple laziness has poisoned the water, and no employee appears to have any vested interest in helping the customers research and find what theyre looking for. Addendum: The staff that works up front, the greeters and cahiers are usually wonderful people with a smile and warmth. However, you cannot get to the cash register, if you cant find what youre looking for.

I dread walking in to the Wentzville, MO Home Depot because you can never find anyone to help you. You have to search high and low for help and hope they work in that department when you find them. My contractor wanted us to get our 5 doors from here so we went Saturday to purchase them and he was going to pick them up Monday morning. The contractor gets there and the doors are damaged and they dont have anymore in the store. Not one call did get saying they were damaged. Im sure the person that pulled them off the shelf should have seen it. I went to Lowes to meet my contractor after Home Depot was going to return our order... My contractor walked in with cash. They gave him cash when returning my order. They didnt have any info on my contractor except for his first name. I dont think he should have been given over $400 cash from my bank card as a credit. Once my husband gets his landscaping lights (because they dont have them else where) we will not be returning to give any business and I will be voicing my opinion to friends and family! #homedepot #lowesgirlfromnowon #itsallaboutcustomerservice

Within the area of this HD is also Lowes, Charlies and Rural King. I have yet to orchestrate a home project that couldnt be met by leveraging this quartet. And the band would not be complete without that solid base that HD lays down for general tools and materials at a good price. This HD is always clean and stocked and organized. Ive never had an issue with returns or assistance. The older staff has the odd project knowledge, but youll find that to be true at most places. This is a close retail location that does a solid job of providing tools and supplys for my home projects.

Disappointed with customer service said they wont match Amazon even thought the item being sold was by the manufacturer and Amazon said because they dont charge shipping neither does Amazon prime we were purchasing other items here and was planning larger purchases in the future(Power tools and materials ) but will go to lows or other stores since they are way less of a hassle to deal with.

Home Depot is my favorite place to shop! Ms.Peggy was an awesome appliance sales lady! She was very helpful and answered all of our questions! Visited here looking for a couple of sale items. Had trouble finding help, not very busy either. Went up from to customer service, over 20 minutes to let me know items were sold out. In my opinion, Lowes seems like a friendlier, brighter place.

Shouldnt be allowed to sell Samsung or LG washer/ dryer appliances where Parts arent available in the United States if you have any kind of issues or problems you are just screwed!

Was a diehard Lowes fan. I was treated like crap at the Lowes in Lake St. Louis. Went to home depot to compare and Melissa in flooring helped us through entire reno!!Awesome!

Hard to check out. Self checks were closed despite having their open lights lit &the cashier for the only register was off somewhere else. Do they even want my money?
