Eating there- In the mornings is great. Do not Order "To Go"! If I havent had SEVERAL instances of bad "to go "experiences- I wouldnt be writing this, But TOO many times I have had to return to get the order corrected. This time I checked before getting home and I was right- they was wrong again. We ordered Crackers and Cheese, just like we usually do, but when we got it.. all it had was cheese wedges and pickles, NO Crackers, No Mustard... When we order something to go..we expect it to be like we would get if we ate there - How Pathetic. On top of it.. we ordered 2.. we got only one. When we asked them to give us BOTH (We ordered 2), the server came out and with a bad tone of voice Said "Be Sure To Charge Them Full Price For Both". We was not asking for anything but What We Ordered. We Was Not Asking For Anything Free, But we was NOT Asking for a bad attitude form the Server. We are Loyal Customers to CB. We live down the road and go there frequently the AM staff- we pretty much know by name- Especially Jerry (the best server there). We have had family get togethers there. Tonight turned me off.. and we will stop doing "to go" orders there. Not worth the Waste in fuel, not worth paying for things you do not get, not worth having to double check the order to be sure it is right, because of incompetence, and NOT WORTH THE POOR ATTITUDES FROM THE SERVERS. The Cashier tonight was Wonderful, very supportive and very pleasant. She apologized several times for the mistake. She was the only positive experience. I told the Manager I would write this review, here it is. Stay Away From "To Go" Orders.... Period. I highly recommend the AM Staff, I will avoid PM service.. go to Red Lobster or others. You know, No Complaints about the Food.. the problem is the staff- except the cashier. ALSO... bring your own silverware.. you always get Utensils with crusty stuff on them. My wife always wipes them down with sanitizers... I do give then thumbs up for going Smoke Free. The First part of the Review was written a couple of months ago.. i posted it on Yahoo Reviews and didnt know think about doing a Google Review. This CB needs some work.

Food: I used to love CB, but I feel the quality has gone downhill. It is possible that, because I have been going to more and more local joints that focus more on a better taste experience, Im just now noticing the bland flavors at CB that may have always there. Service: Service at this location has been dry to cold. Not rude, but without any smile, or friendly dialog of any kind. On my last visit, I ordered a sampler that came with several side dishes. I had to ask for a side that was missing when my food was served. That wasnt horrible, but I just now noticed, after checking the menu, that a second side was missing as well... too late now. Store: The Old Country Store portion of this business is a really cool place. It is full of all sorts of nostalgic goodies, candy, shirts, toys, gifts, etc. This is a great place to swing by and shop, even if not visiting the restaurant. Last minute birthday or Christmas gift? A quick stop here may be the right thing to do. Of all restaurants, a CB is one of THE best places to wait. Browsing the store quickly eats up all those minutes and if there are a few minutes to spare, spend some time on one of the many rocking chairs on the front porch. Its a shame, though, that waiting to eat here might more more enjoyable than the actual eating.

This Rating is based on PICK UP ORDER. I wanted to share this even tho it was on there pick up service because post such as this means more to a Co. then if I had physically shared it while I was there. Not to mention sometimes its those very people who may be the culprit. I called in an order, I drove there 15 min time frame. I paid and then I waited, and waited 8 additional minutes for a dozen cornbread. As I waited another guest waiting shared he had been waiting 15 minutes already for 2 bowls of soup. I might not have believed him if my husband had not experienced the same wait time on 2 bowls of soup the week before. In the mean time I had 1 hostess 2 management and 1 waitress ask how I was doing. Now as kind as I find that. If 3 of them would have been putting orders together this post would not have been made. Just so we are on the same playing field you do or you dont do call in orders for pick up. Cause I could have been seated had drinks and cornbread before that 8 min after a 15 min call ahead. Disappointed in this major chain. Guess I will need to start making my own.

We were not greeted when we came in the hostess did not tell us the special was of the day our waitress did not give us enough time to finish your order she never came back to the table we had to ask for something to drink the floor was dirty the silverware was dirty for all four of us and had to ask for more the server uniform was dirty we just had a very bad experience there we had been to that one lot a time it was hard the find a place to park because they had the parking lot blocked off at the retail store we were not asked if we needed any help the bathroom needed to be cleaned and didnt have hardly any toilet paper in it we had to tell the lady up front Im back to our waitress she was not friendly and had a frown on her face we just had a bad experience I would not recommend this Cracker Barrel to anyone and were going back to Louisville in August and I imagine will not stop there to eat this time.

I have been going to this cracker barrel since my childhood. Never have I had poor food until recently. Today, I called in an order a half hour before I requested it to be ready. I went in and paid for my food and waited 20 minutes for it from the time I paid to receiving it. They didnt go over my order like they had every other time I have gotten an order to go. When I got back to work to eat my meal, the carrots I ordered were completely overcooked to where they were mush. What little gravy I got for my potatoes was congealed, and my biscuits were hard. The only good thing about my meal was the Sunday Home-style Chicken breasts. Very poor this time, and I certainly hope that they pick up their game.
