I received a special request from the Mom a day before I was to depart Louisville asking for a Kentucky Derby Christmas ornament... So I begin thinking oh no where am I gonna find one as I had never seen any derby ornaments before.. Luckily for me a very helpful Hyatt staff member told me to walk down to A Taste of Kentucky as that would probably be my only shot at finding anything like that. Sure enough they had 2 different styles of Ky Derby ornaments,and I grabbed a few derby t-shirts as well. I want to add that the lady working the store on 4/27 was terrific and so helpful,,big thanks!!!!

Visited this store while at the National FFA Convention. 3 employees stood at counter visiting. No one greeted us or acknowledged that we were there (only ones in store). Checked out, still nothing!!! Not even a thank you! So I said "you are welcome " and still NOTHING! And she couldnt even count my change back! How do you these ladies get a paycheck? What happened to customer service? I made sure to tell the nice gentleman at the hotel not to refer people to this place of business!!!

A perfect gift shop, because all gifts are either a Kentucky theme or a Louisville theme. The shopkeepers were very friendly, and knowledgeable about questions from a visitor like me. Not your ordinary gift shop, either. Much more than silly t-shirts and pens, with things for your kitchen or office or bedroom. Even some products of a finer nature (glass, silver, jewelry, etc.). Ask about the PooPoo Paper. A hilarious gift.
