Nine years ago, I wasnt sure what I was doing with my life and I decided to backpack across Europe. I went into Quest Outdoors (On Breckenridge Lane) and I realized that I needed more adventure in my life, and I decided to invest my money to backpack across Europe. I remembered hearing about from Quest Outdoors from a coworker and decided to give it a browse. Upon entering this store, I was greeted by an older man who turned out to be the owner. Although I dont remember his name, I will always remember the help that he offered me that day. I told him about my plans for Europe, and he not only encouraged me to follow through with my plans but also offered his input on the gear I should bring with me on the trip. He was honest with me and I used every single item he recommended. I still own my Jansport pack to this day; it seemed a little over my price range at the time, but thinking about it, it was definitely well worth the money. In fact, its been nine years, and I still have that backpack I used when travelling across Europe! I still use it when I make weekend trips to Red River Gorge to hike and to enjoy the beauty of nature. I still stop at Quest Outdoors to this day, and I have never had a single negative experience. I have to say, Quest Outdoors won my heart and loyalty, and I go there for all of my outdoors needs and wants, and I honestly wouldnt have it any other way. So for anyone who is even potentially interested in the outdoors, check out Quest for your basic, and not-so-basic, needs and wants.

My experiences with Quest have all been stellar! Most recently, I was in the market for another pair of the popular Vibram Five Finger Shoes and wanted a specific color, style and size. The employee, an older gentleman, was very helpful on the phone and voluntarily called their other store to locate my size in the style I wanted. Within one day, I received a phone call from the employee, stating that my shoes were at the location that was nearest to me. When I arrived at the store to pick up my shoes, I also appreciated the extra time the employees took getting to know me and my specific athletic needs and wants. Quality customer service begins with relationships, and Quest has a knowledgeable and friendly staff that has always been available to assist me and thus build my customer relationship....time after time...Thanks guys!

quest is a nice, local store with lots of neat equipment. the prices are higher than a large chain, but the quality matches. the staff can occasionally be a little "too cool for school" but all in all they seem to really care about their store and customers. i wish quest would maybe broaden their selection (winter sports, water sports, etc) but theyve got a good thing going right now. ill come back again and i routinely send friends and family their way.

The staff at Quest is excellent and helped me in my search to find the best gear required for the outdoors. Bobby was a great help and taught me about the equipment. Im not much of an outdoors guy, but he was fantastic. Im sure to go back to Quest anytime Im looking for the solution to my questions concerning anything outdoor.

The staff at this location is unfriendly and hovers while you shop, Quest has another location at The Summit which has a much larger selection, great knowledgeable staff and a much better attitude. I keep going back to Frankfurt Ave as its convenient, but I would really not recommend anyone spending $$$ here.

Totally overpriced. Absolutely horrible customer service. The staff seems to take immense pleasure in making the customers feel like idiots. Im not alone in this opinion. This place is legendary for being full of themselves.
