Red Flags galore, folks. First off, you walk in there and will be greeted with a ho-hum sort of way. Not exactly rude but certainly not thrilled you are here to see them. The car I was looking at was actually really clean and nice and in fairness, it was priced well enough. But Lynne the owner would NOT negotiate. He told me the price is what the price is and ultimately didnt care if I walked away. My biggest beef is that he advertised the car as "not needing anything mechanically or cosmetically." Ill give him the cosmetically part. But he had no clue if this 100k mile used car had had a timing belt changed or not. Nor did he really car. Upon test driving, I almost purchased the car (check in hand) but heard some grumbling in the back of the car that was likely a bad tie-rod or whatever. Dont get me wrong, I can understand that a 100k car wasnt going to be perfect. But given the fact that he wouldnt budge on price or even acted like he wanted my business, I began to hesitate on buying. I told him I would pay his price but would he at least get the timing belt changed or replaced or give me $500 off the price or so. Nope. So when I came back to get my deposit and back out of the deal, he didnt say a word, just handed me the check like some sort of child who was pouting. All this and he had no car fax report and the Auto Check report he gave me cut off a year before he offered the car up for sale. AND, add to this the fact that he doesnt finance and has a horrible tax record through the secretary of states website in KY. Search for Hikes Lane Auto Sales and youll see every one of his businesses are in Inactive or bad status - which makes me wonder if he can actually even do business in the state of Kentucky. I didnt see any active and "good standing" account under his business name or assumed business name. Anyway. Do yourself a favor and skip this place as an option. Dont be fooled. He cleans the cars up really nice, but in the end, its not a place I would ever want to deal with again - and I suggest you dont either.

I highly recommend buying your next car from Hikes Lane Auto Sales. I just purchased a vehicle from them and had a great experience. Price was very reasonable and vehicle was in good shape, exactly what I wanted. Heres the thing: I think this dealership is unique. Based on my experience, I dont think they mark up their cars very much...Im pretty sure theyre just giving you a straight up fair deal and are trying to run an honest business. I purchased a vehicle that I knew was at a really good, low price...it was a steal! But I felt compelled to haggle with the guy anyhow because thats just what you do at used car dealerships, right? Well, the guy was like, "You know this thing is a steal!" ...and I was like "yea, it really is." and I ended up just purchasing it for his asking price. But the thing is...all the other comparable vehicles I researched and drove were in worse condition and at a higher price. I kept looking for why this guy was offering this superior vehicle at a lower price and I couldnt find it. Went to a mechanic, had the inspection, crawled around in/under and on top of that car (and I know a little bit)...and its just in good shape. And the dealer just sold it to me for the really great, low price.?!?! I dont know, only thing that makes sense is that its an honest business. I guess I dont expect that from used car dealers. Maybe my car will blow up in 6 months and Ill take that back...but I dont think so. Anyhow, heres my advice: Buy a car here. And unless you really strongly feel that the price on one of their vehicles is not right for a very good, verifiable reason...dont expect to haggle with these guys too much. I believe theyre offering good vehicles for really good prices and you wont find better anywhere else.

Great experience. Purchased from Jerry almost a year ago. Nissan rogue has been wonderful. No high pressure here. Very accommodating and they really encourage you to take the car to your mechanic to have it checked out. I will definitely return the next time we are in the market for a used car.

Go to put a deposit on a corvette and prior deal was done. Once I get there to give deposit they tell me they cant sell it for the agreed price and that someone else would pay more. So, I walked out. They are the type of car lots that give car dealers a bad name.
