As I walked past the teenage prostitute offering sexual favors to any who passed and into the store I was greeted by the suspicious leer of the Indian clerk. The familiar odor of day old fried chicken and lingering scent of marijuana put me at ease. Inside I found sparsely populated rows with snacks and an abundant selection of beer and malt liquors. After selecting some food I approached the cash register. The glass displays showcased gram bags of legal highs and lottery tickets. The hungover clerk rattled off a price and I told him that was more than advertised. In this kind of establishment the price is subject to be rounded up, often by a dollar, if you are not firm in tone and vigilant. If not for that I would give it another golden star. Decent shop, strength in numbers when visiting at night.

Typical Bodega, which means its overpriced and has a poor selection, bad customer service, ripoffs, etc. On the upside, its not as bad as some, you probably wont get shot shopping there, and they do have hot food, including improbably delicious chicken nuggets.
