Love this place, they just rearranged everything and the girl working (I think she may be the owner seems like shes been in there nearly every time Ive gone) walked me around to get my whole list of things covered for my drawing II class. As with most art supplies many products can be pricey but overall I get out spending far less here than other art stores in Louisville and dont ever have to try another art supplies store. Theyve met all my needs for Drawing I, Drawing II, 2D design, 3D design and painting, sculpting, and resin projects Ive done at home. I even gift shop there for my good friends, theres one part of the store that reminds me of kind of how lynns gift shop was...If you ever went there before they closed.

This is my favorite place to buy art supplies in Louisville. The hole-in-the-wall feel of the place is fun, but the shop is packed with a huge assortment of supplies for all sorts of media. I love walking around this store. It’s a joy to see the interesting papers on display, the big brush displays, the racks of paint tubes ranging from student grade to top-of-the-line, and the lines of pencils and pens and markers, plus all the weird little gift items. The sales staff is friendly and helpful, and the prices are competitive. The only negative I think worth mentioning is the tiny, hard-to-access parking lot; you’re probably better off bypassing that and parking on a side street, which is usually no problem.

Ive passed this store many times over the years and just recently stopped in for the first time while walking my dog. Thank goodness the staff are incredibly dog-friendly, because I spent a bit of time wandering around and checking out the great selection before realizing I would need to come back to explore more thoroughly. Within minutes of our arrival, Raava (my four-legged companion) was given water twice (once per staff on duty) and a dog biscuit. We went back again a couple weeks later and our experience was just as wonderful. I found what I needed both times and the prices are reasonable and lower than expected for a small, local store. Artist & Craftsman Supply is my new favorite Louisville gem!

This is an amazing specialty store for the beginning doodler or the professional artist. They have a wide variety of medium to choose from (no fiber arts really, but still an amazing selection), from paper to oil, to spraypaint, to acrylic. The staff seems really knowledgeable and its a local business. Some items you just cant find at big craft stores. Worth the trip into town.

Fantastic. I called ahead, they were friendly and helpful. I showed up, they were friendly and helpful. They helped me find what I need. It was well priced too, considering I was only looking for a few things to do a school project and I wasnt a professional artist. Id recommend it to anyone.

This is my all-time favorite art store! I recommend it to everyone I know- Im in VA and I get all my art supplies here. If give it a 10 star rating of i could! The people are so nice and funny, the store is so big and organized, theyre cheaper than any other, etc.....!

Very cool place with friendly and helpful employees. Parking there and getting out is somewhat of a challenge, though. When i went for the stuff I was getting there was a huge discount too. Would suggest going there to anyone in need of supplies.

Stopped on our way south. Staff were personable, knowledgeable. The store has a wonderful array of art material. The handmade paper selection was truly impressive. Almost worth a vacation to Louisville to visit this wonderful little store.
