The store has improved a great deal since the new manager has taken over. It use to be a very unfriendly place to shop to the point myself and most of my art friends were going to Anderson to shop. The new manager has gone out of his way to make everyone feel welcome again. Most of the employees are very friendly but they are high school or college students and the majority dont know anything about the merchandise they carry, where to find anything or what department something might be in. You have to watch real close when your sale is being rung up to make sure you get the sale prices and discounts, I have to go back often for adjustments because I am overcharged but they are always friendly. Since I live a good distance from the store I always check my receipt as soon as I get to my car. Everyday prices are high and a lot of the merchandise they carry is cheap reproduction junk from China and other places that have child labor. Wish they would concentrate on being a true art/craft store. They have a limited supply of rubber stamps, stained glass, Sizzix dies. A nice selection of scrapbook paper and jewelry supplies. Holiday items are usually plentiful and marked down early. Their ad comes out in the Sunday paper or you can get it online or sent to your email. They have a 40% off one item coupon each week but will not accept competitors coupons like Joanns will. You can use the coupon once each day of the week.

Come here nearly every week to buy craft stuff. Prices are a bit salty but they have a huge selection. Today I went in to get a product id seen last week. 2 ladies that worked there were standing, talking and I asked for the product since things had been moved. One looked at me with not a nice look AT ALL aND said theyve never carried that product. I told her I seen them last week, then she said she worked in a different department. Ok, so why tell me something you DONT know, rudely to boot. Im sorry I messed up your " chatting time" but to be rude aND answer a question you had no clue about was...rude. you lost a big sale as I had a list of stuff to get. So now, were off to MICHAELS! Thanks for nothing and you lost my weekly business by your rude attitude and not having a CLUE what you were talking about except your blabbing to the one that does work that dept. Be nice or youll lose more customers. My boyfriend and I spent at least $50 everytime we came in...at least once a week. Used to be a huge fan. Now Im a huge fan of Michaels, so thank you! We like it much better.

I am not sure why another reviewer said this place is not open.... I dont know! I placed this here because YES its open, as an art student I go here on a weekly basis, just remember like all locations this one is not open Saturdays. Although things can get expensive, there is one word HL is good at "SALE" They will often have REALLY good sales that last a week, for example: one week all glass items, another all ceramic and holiday items commonly have sales weeks before the actual holiday, making holiday decorating really easy. Sorry my review does not go into much I just thought what was here was ridiculous and misleading.

The reason I rate this store 1 star is because of the poor customer service. Anymore I go to Michaels or Jo-Anns. The employees at Hobby Lobby make asking a simple question seem like its pulling teeth from them. I get that stocking shelves is important but just how are you going to sell the merchandise if you scare away customers?

No one seems to know much of anything about Hobby Lobby. Theyre not open on SUNDAYs because the company is religious based. They are also still located in Muncie, IN. I go there frequently. Ive never had an issue with the store! Pretty decent sales.

Warning you WILL get lost in here. Be careful if you are easily distracted by cool trinkets, and household items. Theres pretty much something for everyone here.
