The employees and management of this store is outstanding with they patience and help! Yet, the Google offer "40% off any regular priced item" is not valid because corporate issues. Though the "40% off any regular priced item" via their app was valid. I understand the concerns of fraudulent coupons. I understand that couples on mobile devices is relatively new. I do not understand why those in the marketing office of corporate has not contacted Google to discontinue these offers. "Because they cant" is what I was told. My question is why do these Jo Ann marketers still have a position if "they cant" do their job.

The employees mostly knew where everything I wanted was located, but none actually took me to the aisle. I am not a child, but it would have been nice to be directed to what I wanted rather than being blindly pointed to "the other end of the store" and told "just look around there." Also, at checkout, over their headsets a convo was going on and the cashier replied to her coworker, "well you can string him up by his intestines." I get office place talk, but that is highly inappropriate for a customer to hear; obviously they were talking about another customer so they were being highly unprofessional.

Staff is always helpful and available. The problem I have is they carry very few good fabrics most of it is fleece and the cheaper type of fabrics. Too much polyester and synthetic fabrics. Not much variety in %100 cottons other than quilt fabrics. I have to order most of the fabrics I use from other sources to get silks, cotton for dresses, pants. I sure do miss Baer Fabrics!

My wife is an avid crafter, so Ive been to my fair share of Jo-Ann stores. The Shelbyville Road store is one of the best Ive been to. The staff is professional, friendly, and helpful. The store is well kept and most things are easy to find. If I cant find something, theres almost always someone around I can ask.

The Jo-Anns fabric store in Dallas specializes in fabric. The fabric department in this Jo-Anns store is about 1/3 of the store. Its more like a hobby store than a fabric store. Maybe they are all moving in this direction, but its sad. The selection is so small.

More focused on irregular crafts than regular art supplies than say a Micheals. This is a plus if youre looking for something out of the ordinary but not if youre looking for specific drawing supplies.

I sew, so I practically live in this Joanns. They have a great selection, very helpful staff. Never go to the store without checking for coupons for regular price items.
