I give this place 1 star due to the people working there. I dont go to this location very often due to the fact that they do not provide good service to those of color. Not once have I been properly greeted when entering this store. Not once has an employee ever asked me if I needed help finding anything. I am not one to pull the race card but this is something that happens at this location. I have seen the same thing happen towards other African American individuals that have entered this store. I have even dealt with some of the employees nasty attitudes when checking out without me even saying a word to them. Blick used to be my favorite art supply store but due to the closed minded employees at this location I will never shop at the chain store again.

This specific Blick location has a fantastic supply of markers. While the others have a good amount, this one excels in this area. Additionally, shops in the Chicago city limits are not permitted to sell spray paint to anyone without a contractors license (a complete garbage law), but since this one is in Evanston it has a great selection of spray paint and tips/nozzles for the cans. Staff at this location is knowledgable and friendly and take their time to find out what you need.

Terrible customer service experience today. Their refund policies are not clearly stated on their receipts, and when I was attempting to get a refund their sales lead employee was discriminatory, made offensively personal remarks towards me, and was aggressive and combative. I have NEVER been treated so terribly by a business. I am filing a complaint with corporate. I want this resolved, and frankly, considering how egregious this sales leads behavior was, I want an apology.

Blick has great supplies at great prices. I usually shop online for everything, but art/coloring/stationary goodies are almost always lower priced at Blicks. They frequently have awesome sales, and the staff has always been very helpful and friendly when I wander in with questions -- such as yesterday, they walked me through the easiest and most cost-effective way to display a 24" by 48" canvas.

Blick is my favorite store. I could spend hours browsing through all the cool supplies. I have to go into the store with a specific list, or I want to buy everything, even if I dont need the items! Staff is helpful and the store is arranged in a logical way, making it easy to find things.

Amazingly helpful staff! Lots of gifty items in the front, serious art supplies in the back. Small selection of precut mattes and frames for pictures, framing service, decorative papers, stationery, etc. Teachers discount if you have ID! Great prices even without discount.

It is hard not to spend all my money here. I was careful and Ill still be eating ramen for a while after my trip. The staff was really nice and able to suggest some lower price alternatives to the paint I have been using. Well see if it works out.

This store is the closest to Chicago that offers framing services as well as all the other supplies. Their stock of ceramic supplies is good and unlike the store downtown, all the glaze sample tiles are still there!

Came here to buy some spray paint and caps. They have a few top brands and a wide array of colors. Good place to grab some legal graffiti related supplies and all art supplies.
