SO ANGRY about my experience here. I bought a floor model sofa. It was a sectional that was meant to be clipped together, and came as two separate pieces. In the store, they were not connected. I asked the salesman, multiple times, if the pieces went together. I was assured by more than one salesman that they did. Upon delivery to my apartment in Columbus, it became very apparent that they were two completely different pieces. I called the store, no one would help me. A manager was supposed to call me back, but never did. If I didnt move, I wouldve been in the store to complain. I had to throw away the second piece.. a brand new piece.. because the Value City here in Dublin could not pick it up in a reasonable amount of time and I had nowhere to store it in the interim. Even if I had returned it they couldnt guarantee a refund because the piece had no SKU since it wasnt a piece that actually went together! And to learn that information, it took me ONE HOUR back and forth on the phone, and it wasnt even the Lexington location that helped.. it was Dublin. I understand that floor models come with risks.. however, I anticipated damage and the like... not being sold two independent couches with the claim that they clip together. Never, ever would shop here again. They dont care about your satisfaction after the sale. Even my salesman couldnt give me any information and didnt offer any solution. TERRIBLE and worst buying experience Ive ever had.

I understand how everyones situation is different when we are out shopping and I certainly respect the other people who posted reviews wether they were good or bad. Fortunately for me, my experience was great!!!!! I had been looking for a sectional for months. However, I came across an oversized chaise lounge that I fell in love with in the clearance section of the South Park store. I ended up finding the couch and chair that matched it but I did not love the cushions on them. A manager came through the section and asked if we needed help. We told him we liked the 3 pieces but had interest in a sectional at another store and that I was not crazy about the cushions. He flipped the cushions over and I instantly fell in love with the whole set. It gave the couch and chair whole new look. He gave us a WAY better deal on that whole set than what we could have purchased the setional for. On top of that, the customer service we received from the sales associate as we entered the store along with the way the manager treated us, could not have been any better. I had not shopped here in a long time, but with the customer service, quality of my furniture, and the price, I will defiantly be returning to this location.

I am very disappointed in the Value City on Nicholasville. This was our second buying experience, and both have been bad. We first bought a sleigh bed, and when we got it three weeks later, the head board was busted to pieces. We returned and got another after another two weeks. The second experience was the purchase of a living room suit. The recliner didnt work right on the love seat so we had to exchange it. We were told it would have to be back ordered and would take three weeks. Six weeks later we were called and told it was there and bring the defective one back. We get there and are left standing at the dock door along with about 10 other people for almost 45 minutes waiting to pick up orders. The guy working in delivery was rude and broke the lady in front of us mirror because he was so careless tossing the boxes around. We were told that there was a mistake and our love seat was not there and we would have to wait another three weeks to get a replacement, but they took the defective one. So we are left waiting now for who knows how long, missing half of our living room. The service is completely unacceptable and if we ever get the rest of our furniture well never deal with them again!

OK,..Ive read other reviews and dont doubt the integrity of those people. But having said that,...my experience was nothing short of pleasant. I can associate with being jumped as soon as I walked in,...but after stating I wanted to browse I was left alone. When I came upon an option I was interested in,...the first associate I came upon was friendly,..knowledgeable and pleasant to deal with. He was also very informative about what I wanted and made some very good suggestions,....some that I followed and Im glad that I did. Heres where Im going with this. Form your own conclusions people!! For every unhappy customer there are just as many customers that had NO problems or issues. Again,..I dont doubt the people that have had complaints and issues,...but for these same people to want YOU to base your decisions off of THEIR experiences is complete stupidity. I highly recommend this store. Based off MY experience,..not the people who had problems.

BUYER BEWARE The worst place to buy furniture!! We bought a couch, love seat and chair and kitchen table with chairs, all three came with damages off the truck torn and chipped legs. When I called the store to find out what they wanted to do about it the manager asked me.. well what do you want me to do about it? As if he could have cared less and told me to deal with the Hamburg store call the manager Jim. When I called no one answered and I was left on hod for over 30 minutes. After three months we have yet to receive our kitchen chairs our the replaced furniture chair with the tears. No one will give us a straight answer on when they will be in. Horrible Customer service

I just got back from the Value City in Hamburg. "lisaMBradley" (wrote last review) OBVIOUSLY is a made up name of someone who works there because I have never met a more pushy, hounding salesperson than the lady who "attacked me" as I entered the store :). I just wanted to browse, but this lady WOULD NOT leave me alone. She was seriously hiding behind dressers waiting for me act interested in something. I finally left after 10 minutes and 20 buying questions. Subtly pushy.. I guess someone has to pay for that location. I used to work in furniture, and this stuff is not good quality. Save your money and go somewhere else!!

please people dont buy for here everything is a scam, if you have any kind of problem with you bill, good luck trying to fix it because it will be impossible, costumer services just ignore you, and will tell you that you have to pay it or it will go to collection, not matter if you are right. also they put extra charges in your bill for some kind of insurance that doesnt exist and if you try to cancel it nobody knows what that it is, no even costumer services. VALUE CITY is not a good place to buy nothing, i prefer to pay extra an buy for a place where they respect their costumers!!

We bought a king mattress and box spring a little over a year ago. I contacted the store to advise that the mattress is already breaking down and to check on the warranty. I was told that there was only a one year warranty and it had run out. I asked about the manufacturer warranty and was told that the one year warranty was the manufacturer warranty as well. I bought a mattress and box spring in Somerset several years ago from a discount store that had a better warranty than the one from your store. I wont be buying anything else from here.
