My husband and I called Jim Fuqua Appliance Center because our washing machine was not draining. The technician came out to see what exactly the issue was. He discovered there were some items in the drain. This service cost was $85, no big deal. The issue was supposedly resolved. The original service call occurred on a Friday. Well, the issue was not resolved. The water still wouldnt drain and now would not spin. We called the company back and they scheduled yet another service call. This service call took place Tuesday. This time we were told there was something stuck behind the drum. They "shook" the washing machine to loosen up whatever was behind the drum and they said whatever the item was would end up in the drain for easy removal. We were told on the service call that they would be able to come back and get it that day and take it to their shop and repair it, if what we had been told did not work (that would result in an additional fee, again no big deal as long as it gets repaired correctly). When I called to tell them that the issue had not been resolved, I was told that they did not have a truck to bring the washing machine to the appliance center that they would have to use an employees personal vehicle. It is very frustrating when you are told one thing and then when you have to call back you get a completely different answer. I was told that they could get to it the next day, but could not guarantee that it could be fixed. When I asked for the $85 back, so I could have another company come repair it I was told no. They said that the first issue was different from the second issue. Yes, debris was obtained from the drain, but obviously that was not the only issue. A new issue did not occur within hours after the original service call. This place has very poor customer service! If a customer is told something that should be honored. It is not the customers fault that they were told something would be fixed that day (since this is an ongoing issue) then told less than an hour later that we would have to wait and could not guarantee a date of when it would be repaired.

I have used Jim Fuqua a number of times for appliance repair as I have several rentals. Not sure what happened this time around but I can only concur with other reviewers that they completely suck. I had a problem with a dryer shutting down after 5 minutes of use. The first technician came out, put a panty hose over the vent and left before even testing it for 5 minutes. Guess what? Yes, it went out again. Later in the week another tech came out to look at it. Never called me. I called the office to try to find out what was wrong and never heard back from them. Tried calling again and they dont even bother to pick up the phone. They absolutely suck!

Great place to get appliance repair parts, probably the best place to buy these parts locally. Hey, yea, you could order it on-line but when your washer is on the blink you need it fixed pronto, here you can get virtually any part you need. Counter service has alway been good.
