APPLE PRODUCTS -- HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND SATISFACTION. About 2 months back I purchased Apple Macbook air from Micro center. I chose Micro center over Apple because I had positive experience with them in past and thought they will live up to their name and claims of "Complete Customer Satisfaction". I was wrong! I tried to use the front camera to do a face time with my friends for the first time when I realized the camera doesnt work. I have also experienced flickering of the screen and it goes off and comes back on. I immediately took it to Apple and they recognized the problem and were willing to take it in for repair. Since the laptop was only 2 months old I wanted to get it replaced instead of getting it fixed. Apple couldnt give me a replacement unit as it was not purchased from Apple. What a bummer! I guess I should have brought from Apple directly. They suggested I should take it Micro Center instead. So I arrive at the Micro Center with my friend and Im trying to explain it to the lady at the reception about the problem. She immediately replied by saying its 4 months old and they cant do anything. Upon reminding her its only 2 months old and they should at least try to resolve the issue. Finally she agreed to check with two of the managers. They both blatantly denied to help. After much trying one of the manager came to speak with us just to tell us they cant do anything and constantly reminded us thats its been over 2 months and they should have purchased extended warranty with it. When I was purchasing the unit had they said after 15 days if anything goes wrong they wont take any responsibility I would have taken the extended plan. Let me remind them Apple and even Best Buy give a 1 year limited warranty which states if there is any problem with the equipment (excluding accidental damage) within one year they will try to fix it and if they cannot they will replace it. But the gentleman at MicroCenter didnt even offer to repair the broken unit. Even though they "claim" to be certified Apple technicians. After trying to explain it to them every other store stand by their products and repair/replace it with new product if there is any problem the manager kept trying to shrug away by saying "but you didnt take extended warranty". Extended warranty is suppose to be after 1 year not before that. Never heard of that before. According to them if you face problem after 15 days with your new product on which you spent THOUSAND bucks its complete waste and you are on your own. Had I known this I would have gone to Apple. Upon reminding him about the "Your satisfaction is our priority" claim that they put at the bottom of the receipt he mentioned we dont mean "perpetual" satisfaction. Little did I know their definition of "perpetual" is 15 days. So let me advice you if you are buying Apple product or any other product get it from the APPLE directly or even from Best Buy (as they replaced my new xbox after 6 months) but not from these middleman who dont stand by their claims and products they sell.

Great place if you want to waste time, however on my most recent visit the sales/techs had little to no basic electronics knowledge. After listening to blabbing about which video card would work for which games to another customer I finally was able to talk to someone. I needed a power cable (specifically a high input/output psu cable). I was directed to their tiny thin cords (which were ~18gauge and overpriced to death) and then told that was all they had which was fine. I explained that the power supplies they have for sale would require *to be safe* a much thicker cable. IE: Specifically the CoolerMaster 1000 specifies 11amps of draw, the Sparkle Gold 1000 says 15amps, etc etc. I was told that the cords they had were perfectly acceptable and rated to 90°C (190F ish).. *this is a common temp rating for alot of wiring* I ended up walking out - as obvious I was making no headway. I called the store shortly after and I think I got a manager, but was told that - she wouldnt fill you with any "fluff" (or bs) I dont remember the exact wording, and knows what shes talking about. So I explained that 190F should the cord get that hot would mean almost instant burns, near melting cords etc etc, and was told essentially to shove off. Then was told something to the effect of yes we have power supplies rated at 1000w+ (I believe the biggest I saw was a 1250) *15amps* according to the manufacturer. However they may have them, they do not necessarily have the power cables FOR said power supplies. I gave up arguing with the guy as he obviously did not realize that 18g wire is not safe to pull 10amps +.. So I went to Home Depot and bought some 14g wire & made my own plug (that does not get warm under heavy use). Moral of the story - Incompetence! I did not quite expect the man up over the phone attitude but I guess he was standing up for the one gamer girl in the store. After spending several thousand in the store - I likely will not be returning. Im sure a flimsy power cord will work for one of the larger power supplies if it only pulls said heavy loads once in a while - but if its under full load for long the cord is going to heat up or worse, cause a fire.

I am on vacation out of state, my HP laptop purchased from Micro Center runs - randomly. While I was online, I have attempted multiple times to access your online "help". A computer repair shop where I am visiting said its likely the Mother Board and not worth fixing. I need my computer, it is a must have ALL the time. I have also called the Overland Park store where this was purchased, and there is no option to speak to a representative. In Colorado, the repair store offered to transfer all my data, and sell me a new HP, I need to compare prices, and speak to someone, desperately... I can use a friends computer while I am here, but when I return to KS I will need my laptop immediately. Nobody will answer the phone, or respond online. I would at least want to compare prices - rather than purchase a new one while out of town. HELP would help - apparently that is not something Micro Center offers... When I bought this 9/12, I purchased all possible insurance. My computer did not burn (fire is not covered) but it did take on moisture out of the air, and soot. Micro Center at first offered no help at all, but took it begrudgingly, telling me they dried it out, and cleaned it. When replacing the cooling fan a few months ago, it was easy to see nothing had been done, I am amazed the computer was still working, as the inside was full of the soot Micro Center said they had removed.. My best guess is I will return to KS and have to find a different place that cares about customer service to replace this computer.. I know I am not using more than 40% of this computers capacity, but since I have no technician to ask, is 3 years old enough for a shop to tell me "its not worth fixing, its junk"? 3 years? Really? Thanks for not being there the 2 times I have truly needed you. My computer came from there, as did my daughters, hers no longer boots up. Save yourself a headache, and the cost of insurance, Micro Center did not honor it 3 weeks after it was purchased, and now cannot even help with customer service. Do yourself a favor, go elsewhere first...
