Easiest and hardest place to find! If you are looking for the store it IS exactly where google says but on the side of the building facing Sams Club and Walmart. It does not face University Ave or 73rd St. Anyway AWESOME STORE!!!! Doesnt have fresh veggies that I saw but has a ton of everything else! Its small but jam packed with Indian food supplies. I went to find Dabur Vatika hair oil and Hesh Amla powder. Their prices are amazing. Vatika was $3.99 and the same size on amazon is almost $10 or more! And the Amla powder was $2.99 and on amazon again it was almost $5 or more. And their prices on coconut cooking oil is amazing. I got 32 oz of 100% pure edible coconut oil for $7.99 and at Hyvee its 16oz for $11 The man at the cash register was friendly and helpful. We had a good laugh at the difference in pricing and I told him I would definately be returning again.

Recently bought 20 lb of ponni boiled rice from Maria groceries. When we cooked, rice smells very bad (make you nauseous). We took the rice bag for return and my bad I lost the receipt. I was expecting least shop keeper could have said I cant take the bag as I dont have receipt. But he said you could have bought it some other shop and you forgot where you brought it and trying to return it here. He didnt even care to look his billing or cross check with my credit card reference (I could have easily stopped the payment in credit card and asked for the bill). I just kept the bag there itself and came back. I m just posting this because I dont think I was treated very fair.

Alert! Alert! I have seen some products which are outdated. Please, be cautious whatever you buy here. Some are sticked with new stickers on old expiry dates. I have brought Bru Coffe powder which was expired in 2013. But they are still selling those products believing that the customers blindly purchase it. When I asked the owner, he said he didnt check that. He was so careless and reluctant to answer. Also, I have checked with some of the other products, everything was seemed to be outdated! I dont understand why these guys are playing with Customer Lifes for their business.

Ridiculous store, the old guy in register seems never knows to smile. He looks like he is been punished buy making him to stand in counter. Most stuff are outdated, My friend bought Bournvita and it was expired. she went to return, he told me it was manufactured date. I bought Aata and found bugs and its eggs, i went to exchange it he rejected. Is there any authority that i can complain about this store???

Worst Indian store ever seen. They dont have basic stuff like dosa batter, fresh vegetables,, indian curries, frozen parathas... pretty empty or not available many of the 5 times ive been. the nearby walmart store is good. the products are typical indian made,, they are not good to be exported here... thanks

I have bought a Meswak tooth paste. It smells and tastes different which I use regularly bought from India. As I have finished all my toothpastes and had to buy at this store, thinking that it would be same. But it smells very bad and expiry date seemed to be different from the box and printed on the tube.

These guys run a clean, efficient and friendly operation. One of the few Indian stores where you can buy meat and fish. Much better than any other options in des Moines.

Has the best fresh okra in town! I also love the traditional sweets. No price tags on most food, but nothing is really that expensive.
