Do yourself a favor and DO NOT purchase appliances from this store. Bad customer service, flippant store management, and inept delivery/installation. All I can say is wow, this has been the worst purchase experience Ive ever had. Not only did the sales person not sell me all the items need to install my washer/dryer (thus requiring extra trips out to the store), but the dryer was delivered without an owners manual, the dryer was not installed upon delivery, neither the washer or dryer were balanced (so that they would work properly), AND my washer (and wall) was damaged upon installation! After all this, the store manager refused to offer any sort of discount for the damage and inconvenience, and instead blew me off by giving me the phone number for corporate headquarters (which is only a recording).

Never by a gas equipment from MENARDS, you will never be able to return it due to their policy of no return if you put GAS on it, so how do you find out if the equipment is not working without putting gas. It is a big scam. NEVR BY a SNOW BLOWER, MOWER or anything you will need to operate, you will be stuck with a battle with a service center that is not part of the original manufacturer. I bought a snow blower, that never worked out of the box, I was unable to return it due to their policy of NO RETURN to the store, go and find the service center and solve your problem with them, we got your money, you have to figure out this product with the service center. MENARDS is an example of POOR QUALITY, BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE and UNFAIR RETURN POLICY and bordering on FRAUD

Its always a very "meh" experience at Menards. Sometimes you get someone good (Plumbing is staffed by good people), but sometimes you get dolts. On one trip to the building materials department, I was looking for tar tape to waterproof screw holes to put an antenna on my roof. I explained this to the man, and he said they sometimes carry TVs during the holidays...Totally irrelevant. Seemed like he wasnt playing with a full deck of cards. The same can be said about my 3 experiences in the paint department. Overall, the store has what youre looking for 90% of the time, but I would not be confident in them helping you find a solution to a problem if you dont already know exactly what you need. Very inconsistent.

The staff at this menards are usually polite and helpful when you can find them. The selection is good and prices the best part of menards. Appliances are not so great, we had an issue with a freezer and Menards doesnt warranty them directly, so we were supposed to go through the manufacturer (which wasnt going to happen since we needed a replacement) so we just returned it since it was <90 days after purchase, which the staff were willing to do, and bought one from Lowes. I prefer Menards over Lowes or Homedepot because they are almost always cheaper (the exception being appliances) and they dont ask do you need any help every time youre just trying to find the right size bolt/nail/board.

Honestly, I think that this is the best Menards in Iowa. The staff are very friendly and helpful, but they will try to upsell you on things so be careful! The selection is quite wide, and the structure large but well organized. You shouldnt get lost inside.

Large variety, many things at pretty low prices but with better quality at higher price, too. Staff are helpful in finding things. The store layout is confusing sometimes and it can take a while to find a particular item though.

If they dont have it here, youre not getting it in Iowa City. This place is huge and carries a very wide variety of household items. Ive found the staff to be extremely knowledgeable and helpful on numerous occasions.

I waited for over 20 minutes in the appliance department ready and waiting to buy a new electric range. I even knew which model. Easy sale. I couldnt get someone to help me even after the I asked an employee.

The staff at this location is extremely helpful, the only drawback to Menards is they have absolutely everything, it takes a long time to find everything youre looking for because the store is too large

Love these guys! Came in after 8pm for lumber for a deck build - so last minute. Got a delivery set up for the next day and put up with me picking the boards that night. REALLY appreciate it!
