I have bought several items at the Habitat Restore and have been pleased with the bargins I have found (once they were on sale), however I was there yesterday looking around, thinking to myself - Wow they have really started to price things high for things they get for free.....when all of a sudden the man standing next to me said, "Their pricing has gotten out of hand." I laughed and said I was just thinking the same thing. I priced some flush mount lights at HD the other day that were the same price as the ones - out of the box and no warranty- at The Restore. If they think something is an antique - watch out!! Another example would be some 1/2" x 6" decorative black tiles - Restore wanted $1 FOR EACH. I can buy them for .97 cents at LOWES. I realized that they have sales all the time but I would suggest having someone so a little more reasearch on what is retail and then make sure to discount it right away. Its a bummer to go in and look for something and then say to yourself, well Ill just have to come buy it when its on sale.

I love the Restore. I donate as much as I can and go through routinely to buy things. I totally agree with the comments here about pricing. The best I can figure out is its not consistent. Ive found good deals right next to outrageous ones. Maybe the volunteers arent on the same page? About the 50% off comments from the owner, I can find 50% off retail online easily. I expect more considering these are donated goods. Just seems like theyre getting greedy.

1st. I think Habitat For Humanity is a good idea!! but when u start trying to sell used products and furnishing for retail that is where i draw the line. The store was designed to save money not rip peaple off or act like its some high end boutique!!!! 2nd. if you think im wrong then go in and price some of there stuff , when they 1st started the prices were good, but now id rather go to lowes or even home depot!!!! 3rd

This used to be the place to go to get good products at great prices. This place is become so commercialized that the prices are 3/4 of the price of a brand-new product at the store and are used. other products are actually higher-priced than those at the store. just be aware of your price market before you come here thinking you got a great deal.

Love Habitat Restore and its staff theyre always smiling and ready to help us no matter what our questions or needs. I find the most "unique" items at a great prices and I feel good knowing Im helping to keep items from local landfills.

I found the same as other reviews, prices vary some good some bad. Although seem that way at most second hand stores and auctions. People sometimes have no idea of prices both seller/buyer. These stores are suppose to be cheap.

Like others have said, some items seem overpriced. There are still good deals to be found, especially if you own an older home and are trying to match doors or hardware.

I got a great find there today, 4 swivel chairs with 25 percent off! We go there often..you have to to snap up the best deals! Great friendly staff.

I am frustrated every time I try to donate. Make sure you call ahead. Either they are closed or change what they accept.

Prices on some things close to retail ,others very reasonable.they need to look closer when pricing used,or damaged goods

Selection seems weak and what they have is priced high. Rummor is they hide all the good items for contractors
