My husband is a Retired Vet. I called Home Depot and asked about refrigerators that were on sale. I also asked the woman in the appliance department if they would honor their l0% discount with the price of the sales on the refrigerator and she told me NO.....that was "double dipping" and I couldnt do that. So I went to Lowes where I bought a refrigerator on sale and they honored my military discount. I got $156. off of the refrigerator that already was on sale. I dont think I was "double dipping". I was merely asking for the 10% discount that Home Depot advertises for the veterans. Lowes honors your 10% discount whether the item is on sale or not.......Kudos to Lowes!!!! They will have all of my business!!!!

Good luck getting help when you need it. The employees are either nowhere to be found, acting like they dont see/hear you, or dont know the answer. But the fun begins at checkout where there always seems to be a shortage of cashiers. If you know what you want, where its located, and arent in a hurry, then I guess youre okay. Otherwise, avoid.

Customer Service SUCKS!! A store FULL of employees talking to each other and NOT ONE employee asked if I needed help. 3 times I could have used their help with the each item costing over $100-$150. I just left my buggy and walked out. I would rather spend my money at Lowes. I will NEVER step inside Home Depot in Gonzales again.

Dont count on being able to find something here, especially nothing small. We came out here from Baton Rouge especially for an adapter that was said to be in stock on their website and when we arrived they told us some bs story about how its a no home item and they dont know where it is. Dont trust home Depot to be helpful.

The rudest employees of any Home Depot Ive ever been to, and Ive lived in 5 states in the last 10 years. Its a pretty new store but I think they just plucked people off the street corners to work here. Really, shocking levels of ambivalence!!
