When I travel to Cedar Rapids I looked forward to eating here.. On my recent trip 6/27/2016 I received the MOST rude service I have ever! The OLD man ( good ole boy syndrome) at the counter refused to serve me and my husband. We walked in ready to order and he was having a casual conversation at the counter with a fellow good ole boy and acted like we werent even there. Never a " can I help you "? or "just a moment".. Just IGNORE> WOW , nice way to run a business. I suggest never doing business with that place or perhaps putting that old goat out to pasture, I know I will never be back or never recommend this place. I own a eatery in The St. Louis area an I will make sure I spread my experience at the Maid Rite on 1st Ave SW!

I absolutely love their tenderloins. In my opinion they are the best in Cedar Rapids. Daily specials are things like Ham Steak dinner, chicken and noodles, sca"oped J and potatoes and roast pork. Portion sizes are generous and service is generally excellent. Pricing is moderate.

Great fries.. Crispy & big and not greasy.. The staff are friendly as well. My only issue was when I was finished eating, I couldnt put my basket on top of the garbage container because of the mess of newspapers lying on top.

AMAZING food!!! I have always love the cute little shop and friendly service. Homefries with a side of nacho cheese - awesome!!! So many choices to choose from. It is where my 14 and 17 year old children want to eat!

I love maid-rite sandwiches. Wish the Marion store was still open, but this one has good food and service too. Could use more seating though.
